When Obama mentioned that his mother needed food stamps in order to help his family survive, he reminded me that he and Joe Biden are much closer to ordinary folks than is McCain, whose only thinks about food stamps as something he wanted to ban because welfare queens -- remember them? -- were getting too much. I think that when Biden debates Palin, he should mention community organizer as often as possible in order to put her on the defensive, given her derision of Obama's work on the south side of Chicago. Community organizers, in my experience, give a voice to ordinary citizens who have no other means to express their views; and I am sure that the communities that Obama helped to organize consisted of those with the least power or influence, the truly ordinary people that Palin supposedly represents.

When I give money in church and to the needy, I feel humbled but when I donate to the Obama campaign, I feel empowered. This is our campaign and the victory will not be his, it will be OURS and I'm convinced that Senator Obama truly gets it.
Folks, we're close but it's not over yet. We still have work to do. Go to Obama's website and make a donation today. Remember, no amount is too small. If one million of us donate $1, that's the equivalent of $1,000, 000.
I have no other stake in this than hope for a better tomorrow. Enough of McCain/Bush rubbish of the last 8 years.
Obama/Biden '08!

Wow! Obama is fired up in this speech! Awesome energy. Very exciting indeed!

Its unfathomable to imagine McCain or Palin giving a speech in the rain like Obama has here.

McCain is too much of a grouchy primadonna drama queen.

And as for Palin, she would just... melt. ;-)

Unlike McCain, he understands it. McCain is the one who just doesn't understand.

Obama should do more of this - big outdoor rallies. It's a big contrast to McCain/Palin because they are having to travel together to even produce a respectable crowd.

He should send:
Oprah & Michelle on one tour
Hillary & Joe Biden on another tour
and Obama alone on another and do big rallies as much as possible.
