I Like ItI Don’t Like It

On this week's "Saturday Night Live" with host Anna Faris, the show went full political. In addition to an opening sketch with Tina Fey knocking Sarah Palin's interview with Katie Couric, there was a sketch of the Obama/McCain debate and a Bill Clinton appearance during Weekend Update.

See Obama and McCain go head to head, with former cast member Chris Parnell making a special appearance:

Here is Bill Clinton during Weekend Update letting you know just where he stands on the election:

Here is Judy Grimes, who's totally just kidding, talking about travel:

Here's a musical number with two strangers singing on a boat ride date... about murder:

And if you missed it, here's Tina Fey's return as Sarah Palin:

Barack is a chain smoker...maybe SNL could work this habit into a skit.

That guy's Obama isn't working for me, either. Obama frequently smiles broadly - that guy always looks really grumpy.

I love that after so many terrible seasons of SNL, they have finally redeemed themselves this season with their brilliant portrayals of the candidates..

One problem though, the actor, I don't know his name, who does Bill Clinton, he's good at that, but REALLY sucks at doing McSame. He doesn't not portray him as the testy, erratic old man that he is. He plays him too calm, and that's NOT McSame.
SNL, find another actor to do McSame please!

I found the SNL skit about Obama to be very disgusting and horrible, they made it seem like Black people play the race card all the time. Obama never did once during this election other people did it pointing out that he is black like Ferraro, Bob Johnson and Nader. Obama never wants to discuss it. So SNL has some nerve to put this sketch on, it was insulting and racist. They should be petitioned.

Oh, come' on! It was lampooned! It clearly showed how ridiculous it is when the McSame campaign stupidly says that Obama's playing the race card. Sorry, you missed the satire in that.

It seems SNL has been goaded by Republicans into trying not to seem "in the bag" for Obama, when even people STRICT moderates can see that Obama is right for the country and not McCain. So in order to try and tick off the Republicans less (and it was a lame attempt anyway, as the Palin/Couric interview skit would already have sent them running) they make it look like Obama is a crook who plays the race card. Why is it that some of the gags they play about McCain and Palin are almost ripped from truth instead of written, while they have to totally invent the notion that Obama plays the race card; has anyone even said that except the McCain campaign when THEY were actually doing it? And then Obama talking about kick-backs and bribes? What a great subtle way to kiss up to the Republicans and to try and tar Obama. I can't wait to see what happens next week, maybe they'll have Obama turn into Flava Flav and wear a big American flag clock around his neck: how else can they get the people to understand that, in the eyes of many Republicans his biggest sin is that he's black?

I think that Amy Poehler as Katie Couric is also a great performance. She's got that look of disbelief down.

I wouldn't this guy to campaign for me if I were Obama. Bill is no longer an asset or team player. He becomes a liability and a sore loser. Can you imagine him saying something even unintended on the campaign trail that can potentially hurt Obama. The way he has been flapping his mouth he may intentionally say something that the other camp can use against our candidate. No Oops!

Bill Clinton has totally revealed himself - and where is Hillary. We Dems are going to have to win this one without their support (if anything, Bill is trying to aggressively undermind Obama). I know many people talking about this - we should not forget this, win or lose. Bill will pay a price for his narcisissm and so will Hillary unless she can step up in a very obvious way. I'm really shocked that they would be this blatant about it. The whole future of the country is at stake.

YEP,,, Clintons in 2012,,, NO WAY!

AND,, we are winning this one,,, all on our own. Millions of People hitting the Streets.

Knocking on doors.
Calling folks.
Registering people to vote.
About half the doors we get answered are enthusiastic, many have never voted before, but they want to vote now, ask us questions, learn what to do, how to vote early or by absentee ballot.

One by one they come, they sign up, they CARE. They CARE about America. We are not seeing the apathy of years gone by. Americans GET IT NOW!

VOTES DO COUNT!

And Americans are seeing this!

Oh yes,,, there are still the bigots, the doors slammed in our faces, the threats to “get off their grass”, N**er Lover, the spiting, screams of Baby Killers, Godless, Tax and Spend and Defeat in Iraq. That is still very much a part of what we see. Those people are still there, but NOT as many as before.

Politely, we just move on!

But,,, FEAR,,,, seems to be loosing its grip on America, little by little, DOOR by DOOR! It takes hard work, and sometimes very, very thick skin,,,, BUT,,,

They COME!

All the best

Knute Neo-LIB < --- Healing America,, One Call at a time.

This was exactly what SNL needed. One of their best shows in a long time. I hope they keep it up.

These skits are PATHETIC, probably except for the Tina Fey one. The debate clip is garbage, who the hell wrote this?. The entire program was rubbish.

I didn't like the debate clip either. I think it was more mean than funny, and it stirred old lies, fears and innuendos.

Also, if that guy is going to continue to play O as president, he's got to study him a bit more. I guess he's going for "clipped" speech, but he's coming across as stupid and sing-song.

if you are reading this , bill, then you just saw the clip of your behavior being depicted accurately , which does seem like it could be a parody. oh, by the way, you are heading at top speed in the same direction as traitor joe, and with the same result. no is going to like you anymore [probably too late]. as they say in baseball, "yourrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.
