DNC Hits McCain's Gambling In Ad (VIDEO)

On Saturday, the New York Times published a bombshell story on John McCain's ties to the gambling industry. Today, it's a DNC ad (put online at 2:30 A.M., the time when one of McCain's gambling sessions reportedly ended). Watch:

The Democratic National Committee today released a new web video highlighting John McCain's history of stacking the deck in favor of his favorite gambling industry lobbyists. The video comes on the heels of a new report outlining McCain's pattern of using his position as the chairman of a key Senate committee to tip the scales in favor of casino lobbyists with connections to his family and campaigns -- even if it meant reversing long held positions.

The video, called "Betting on McCain," shows McCain stacking the deck in favor of friends and former campaign aides who lobbied for the casinos with business before McCain's committee. In return, those casino lobbyists organized gambling trips to casinos for McCain (whose reputation as a high roller is well known), steered hundreds of thousands of dollars to his campaign, and at least 40 of them went to work for or are helping raise money for McCain's current campaign.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Go after him where it will embarass him. Expose those parts of McCain that he has tried to hide. Expose him as not beiing the the wonderful, honorable paragon of integrity and virtue that he claims to be.

Speaking of McCain's "honorableness," did you happen to catch the Letterman show last Wednesday night? It wasn't just that he bailed on Dave minutes before his scheduled appearance on the show (ostensibly to fly immediately to Washington to rescue the Nation from financial ruin), but that he personally lied to Letterman, someone who honored McCain and held him in high regard. As we all learned that night, the "honorable" John McCain dissed Letterman in order to conduct an interview with Katie Couric during the same time slot, and then didn't leave for Washington until the afternoon of the next day! Some emergency, huh? Lots of integrity there and Letterman will probably remind his viewers of that every weeknight until the election. Pay attention everyone, because that is how McCain is likely to conduct himself as President, if God forbid, he should get elected. And I haven't even mentioned the "honorableness" of his ill-conceived running mate.
