I Like ItI Don’t Like It

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann named -- gasp -- Sen. Barack Obama one of the "Worst Persons In The World" on Monday's show.

Why? You'll have to watch the video below (but you'll probably agree with Keith, especially if you're Michelle Obama):

Last week was my anniversary and some waitress asked me how long I'd been married and oops, it happened to be my anniversary... so I don't care too much if hubby forgets. Let's give the brother some slack. He hasn't had a normal life in a while!

I'm sure this past year has been a blur for Obama. If it were me, I probably wouldn't even remember my name, at this point.

Google: “John McCain Skeleton Closet”.........and you’ll find among other things: McCain was one of the "Keating Five," congressmen investigated on ethics charges for strenuously helping convicted racketeer Charles Keating after he gave them large campaign contributions and vacation trips.
Charles Keating was convicted of racketeering and fraud in both state and federal court after his Lincoln Savings & Loan collapsed, costing the taxpayers $3.4 billion. His convictions were overturned on technicalities; for example, the federal conviction was overturned because jurors had heard about his state conviction, and his state charges because Judge Lance Ito (yes, that judge) screwed up jury instructions. Neither court cleared him, and he faces new trials in both courts.)
Though he was not convicted of anything, McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating after Keating gave McCain at least $112,00 in contributions. In the mid-1980s, McCain made at least 9 trips on Keating's airplanes, and 3 of those were to Keating's luxurious retreat in the Bahamas. McCain's wife and father-in-law also were the largest investors (at $350,000) in a Keating shopping center; the Phoenix New Times called it a "sweetheart deal."

Nice. Thanks for bringing up Keating 5. We should never forget that McCain has an ethics issue. But I guess that's ok because he's a P.O.W. (snark)

Gimmie a break. I hardly think misstating an anniversary is grounds for the worst persons list . It just makes him human and particularly male. With all he has on his mind these days, its not even mentionable.

Guess he is not that great with numbers. But is math important for becoming president of the 57 + 3 States of America?
It is not as if numbers were important. I mean, who needs numbers? Maybe Wallstreet types or people who have to do budgets and run an administration. Bush was never good with numbers and he was elected twice...

What Obama was referring to were the 57 PRIMARIES AND CAUCUSES (count them and remember there was a both a primary and caucus in Texas - 2 seperate events)......

BUT he inadvertantly said 57 STATES..................... Now go beat him with a wet noodle.

GOV. PALIN CAN YOU NAME ONE NEWSPAPER YOU READ? WELL, I READ EM ALL. ......................OMG, SHE'S A REAL WINNER.

Mr. Rove said that Ms. Palin can give a good debate, but what is would like to know is if she is going to be debating with all heads of government at all times, or would she be doing sit downs like she has had to do with the journalist of our find country.

I am a woman and a Republican but i can not in good common sense vote for Ms. Palin, to get to the White house. I want to see a woman there some day, but an educated one on foreign policies, and domestic, not a person who needs an ear piece to be able to answer spontaneous questions by press or world leaders.

I hope she is around next 4 yrs, and was a quick study, i would vote for her then. But as McCain always say. "PUT COUNTRY FIRST" and i always follow my leader.

Well, I'm really glad to hear that your decision is going to be based on the real issues and qualifications. I applaud you for that!

Now, if we could get everyone to really think through their choice instead of voting for the cute guy or the average joe or the guy that their parents will vote for.

As a registered Democrat, I look forward to the day when I can comfortably vote for a Republican...

Gee....I would have guessed the Worse People In The World would have been Palin & McCain for forcing a shotgun wedding on a 17 year old

I wold give Palin the 'Worst Person in the World' for the wolf policy. I would stick it front in center in every American mind. "Palin Policy" our tax dollars to pay for wolf paws? We are better than that!

Generally Jon Stewart and Keith Olbermann spin facts with humor. The wolf story can't be spun, it's just plain sad!

Just 'Plain Palin", is just "Plain SAD"! Just say NO!

as hard as he tries, Keith just ain't funny. Never has been. Nope. Except when he does his 'special comments'-those are freakin' hilarious.

But not in a good way.

Let's be honest with ourselves shall we. Keith is gonna be pulling the lever for Mccain. He knows that if Obama wins, he will won't be complaining about his lord and savior, therefore Keith has nothing to do in front of a camera but look stupid, and everyonce in a while throw in a "George Bush!" Keith is voting for Mccain, its called job security.

I love O and having met him, I think he would be the first to laugh and sheepishly say I'm sorry. The story was cute! This am Morning Joe showed a mock commercial endorsed by Michelle- Barack forgetting his aniversary. IT WAS CUTE as well.

We all forget things and it's human to get called out especially an aniversary. Most people read it for what it is- a mistake he has to answer to Michelle for. Since several men have done it , most can only laugh/smile and say good luck O

People settle down. Humor is still humor

I guess that as of tomorrow, lots of Obama supporters will go public with the promise to skip one year of their marriage/relationship/college when asked next time, just to show their support for Obama.

Somehow, this whole thing reminds me more and more of "Life of Brian" If he loses a shoe and all his followers get rid of their shoes as well, then I will be certain that this is a Borat-like hoax.

Don't ya know that man might be more EVIL then Bush himself? That interview had me screaming at the T.V. , blood pounding, I just could not watch it all. Ya see he pulled some nasty bidnezz a while back and took over my district. What a crook and a liar that lil BUG KILLER is and NO ONE< I MEAN NO ONE should trust him to come out from the rock he crawled under.................................................................................

The Rove spin is choice: too bad she can't be herself at the debate by reading lines off a teleprompter, instead of having to respond with her head overwhelmed by everything she doesn't know. No wonder they want 'short' answers.

Every married man in the US can identify with this mistake. I'm sure he knew that once the mistake was uttered that he was sleeping on the campaign bus. I'm sure all married men in the U.S. feel pity for can utter the famous Clinton phrase, "I feel your pain"
