AP Reported this morning on the damage the failed bailout bill has done to John McCain's campaign:
Republican John McCain has maneuvered himself into a political dead end and has five weeks to find his way out.

Last Wednesday, McCain suspended his presidential campaign to insert himself into a $700 billion effort to rescue America's crumbling financial structure. In so doing, he tied himself far more tightly to the bill than did his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama.

Open Letter to Media, Obama & McCain:

No Bailout/Band-Aid.

Google "Michael Moore's plan"

Google "Ron Paul and Bob Barr on bailout."

Please don't allow middle-class to be buried any deeper.

There's a better way.

A Band-Aid now will insure we suffer much more and longer later.

There's much we could do if you'd listen to the people.

Like make churches, instead of government, responsible for welfare of poor in their vicinities and surrounding areas where clergy may lack.

Many made their voices heard already, wanting to back their candidate and are willing to give up their 501 (c) tax exemption.

That's a lot of money.

Downsizing DC by eliminating positions that milk our economy is necessary.

Citizen committees could be formed to oversee much. Could be voluntary, rotating and unpaid positions to insure honesty with just reasonable expenses paid.

Please help save "US" before it's too late.

Ignorance will be no excuse later because many of "US" are telling you!

Sincerely:
A Terrified Citizen (Especially for our children)

Sen. McCain is NOT a rich man. It has been obvious over the last 4-5 years he has mortgaged his soul to gain respect within his party culminating with his nomination of Republican Presidential Nominee. I feel bad for John. I think he would be a lot happier if he just retired at the GOVERNMENTS recommended age of 65-66.

Riddle me this: WHY is there a floor (35 years of age to run for president) and not a ceiling (65-66 like all other men and women who have jobs in the American Workforce)?????

35 minimum age for the office of Presidency

66 maximum age for the office of Presidency

They still are going to ignore the average American by the looks of it. This is the way this administration has represented the people. By ignoring them, and doing what they please, plus they love to throw in panic:

I am trying to decide who to vote for and I am trying to make a educated choice.
I would vote for anyone but Obama and Biden have you checked out thier voting records?
If i had a choice after Senator Coburn made his statements on the senate floor yesterday
I would vote for him. He put the blame where it belonged on the Senate and House. You can
complain about the Presidents all day but the final say is in the house and Senate where they can
override vetoes and set precedents. Maybe you should look up the bills and see who voted the
way you would have voted. Then make your decisions. Obama voted for a museum for Woodstock over the million going for health programs for Mothers and children. Maybe we all
need to do our homework, instead of voting republican or democrat lets look at what they have done and what they have stood for or against.

I think you should go online and sell your vote.

There are many in the world who would love to vote in this election but, through no fault of their own, weren't born American citizens. Americans don't seem to value their own votes that much, judging by our usual one-third turnout, but many in the world wish they were Americans for a day -- as long as that day is November 4, 2008.

So I say, if you aren't going to vote for yourself, go find a purchaser from another country; because in this election, they have nearly the same stake we do, in who our next president will be.

Since America doesn't recognize the authority of the International Courts of Justice, there won't be any repercussions over this. It's illegal in America to BUY votes, but not illegal (so far as I know) to SELL them.

An international American Vote Market is the perfect solution to low voter turnout, which is generally based on the sentiment that votes don't matter. So do what Capitalists do: if a resource is of no value to you, but valuable to someone else, sell it for what the market will bear!

True, you'd still have to skip work, to cast whatever vote the buyer wants, but the market price should make it worth your while. :)

Good luck selling your birthright!

John McCain has 0 respect from the objective panel of viewers that have observed over the last week. Probably is some of the most bizarre behavior since the week he chose Palin as V.P. McCain right now as the chips are has a 5% chance of becoming President. That is a tested formula that produced the 5% number too.

Looks like Obama-Biden the next 8 years till Bobby Jindal comes storming to D.C.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:54 PM on 10/01/2008

He has my respect. He tried in 2005 with the 109 bill to stop Fanny Mae from all the corruption going on. Where was Obama? and Palin is for the people. Where did you get 5%???? Sorry, but not possible.

McCain - Palin

But...McCain's campaign manager Ron Davis, was receiving $15,000 a month from Fannie Mae until it was uncovered last week---I don't get it? Then on the news last night, McCain has been present in the Senate to vote about 30 times whereas Obama and Biden over 100-I think someone is trying to sway you by giving you incorrect information......

Yes, well done all Obama supporters. Well done. I'm so glad the majority of you Obama supporters are so naive that you don't realize that voting in Obama means the destruction of the United States. McCain's still going to win. Because he's already lying and stating that some company named ACORN is ALREADY causing voter fraud and McCain is lying and stating that Barack is behind it. Wow. First, this is a lie, I'll repeat. But hey let's forget about Bush stealing the White House from Al Gore. But McCain and his LIES are so outrageous, and, FoxNews goes on and on with Hannity going on and on repeating the lies. Does McCain have or own stock in FoxNews? Does his 100 million dollar heiress wife have contacts at FoxNews, I'm sure CEOs there and the President of FoxNews sure must be cozy with the McCain's and their friends. I know Barack is too classy to keep addressing all of McCain's lies, and, HBOs Bill Maher said America is full of dummies who'll vote in another Bush, and, even after we all are boiling and back in another 1930s depression, we will repeat history and not learn from it.

This is ludicrous, and a measure of the lobbyist campaign's desperation.

ACORN is a habitat-for-humanity type organization, that has nothing to do with politics at all, and most especially would not get withing ten miles of a polling place, as their mission of affordable housing for all, needs to stay aggressively non-partisan, to remain viable.

True, Republicans hate ACORN, because ACORN doesn't accept that one has to be rich -- or even in the housing market -- to own a home. Republicans hate anyone giving ANYTHING away, because that's "socialist." It "undermines" the Corporatist system, which requires that we all act as each other's enemies in the marketplace; in order to maximise the profits of those who want to "sell" us access to the market.

If we have access anyway, we have no need to buy it, and the wondrous Corporatist system has nothing to sell us (boo, boo, hoo -- this is me, playing a tiny violin).

Republicans would probably try to cut off church charity too; if they didn't want the votes.

The king of deregulation, Sen McCain, is stumping that this issue was caused by greedy Wall Street trolls (when he's not blaming Obama, of course). Like, what? Greed was just invented in the last couple of years? Let's say it slowly & monosyllabically - this is why we need rules and good folks to watch and make sure trolls live by them.

This bill must not pass for so many reasons, but if it does then we are all done. It will not matter if Obama wins in November, because by Christmas the economic catastrophic emergency will happen and martial law will be declared. It happened in Germany and it will happen here unless we speak out and stand up for ourselves in a reasoned manner. Despite this bill, do not run and empty your bank accounts, transfer your investments in green companies and slow growth blue chip stocks. the guys who are going to benefit on Wall Street are manipulating the Stock Market to support the "sky is falling" hysterics of the Bush Administration, and if the public panics before Christmas, we will fall right into their trap. If Congress will not protect us, we need to protect ourselves by sucking it up for a while and call their bluff. Keep America Free!

Safety deposit boxes should be safe in most cases; but if your bank is closed, you may not be able to open them. In any case, what's in those boxes is not in the money system now, so I don't see the DHS's legitimate interest. Even if the contents of them all were removed, it should have no impact on the health of the money system.

Maybe they're afraid of all the bearer bonds that are in them.

This really is terrifying. If this man should win, we would likely soon have a president who has not only tried to ban books from public libraries and believes "creationism" should be taught in public schools, but also who is clueless about foreign policy not to mention national government and the judiciate.

We'd better do something fast--and the Republicans' habits forbid admitting mistakes, so there's little chance of either McCain's or Palin's bowing out now.

I would like to know why, IF McCain is not healthy enough to do this job, WHY hasn't his doctor declared him unable BEFORE THE ELECTION. That way someone else could have a chance to run. If it is waited too long, our country will be in worse shape, if something happens to him after he is elected. Not that the election is over yet, but Obama thinks he has already won. He has been acting like that for more than a year now. Would be quite a surprise, should he LOSE. It seems to me that the entire world, including the middle east, has a big part in seeing Obama elected and have contributed millions to his campaign. Wonder what they expect in RETURN? Usually, anyone who gives ssooo much to something or someone expect something BIG in return! I think the legal citizens of the United States should have a saying in WHO is well enough to run for the President of OUR country, OR any country. We really need two candidates that are qualified for the job, which we do not have at this time, and someone should see to it that we do have before it is too late. I can see it in the comments that there are so many of you want something to happen to McCain. I would not and could not wish that on ANY PERSON. Time is running out and something needs to be decided ASAP!!!

McCain was the only Republican contender that was too stupid to know that NO Republican will be taking that oath in January. None of the others really wanted to have a failed run on their record, when they get into the bidding for their next job. That's also the reason he ended up with the beauty queen, rather than someone who could actually help his campaign (not that I'm complaining, mind).

McCain sees this as his swan song, his gottendamerung. It doesn't matter if he fails now, because what else is he going to do with what's left of his retirement? The real shock would be if he won, and had to try to figure out how to run this unruly bear of a country. Democrats will be in charge in both houses of Congress, so no one will listen to a Republican White House, except when they're making excuses about their latest war.

JudyC, you have never been in Arkansas. My garndson asked members of his high school class who they would vote for if they could. They were unanimous for McCain. When asked why, "Obama is a black (not the word they used) ", "Obama is Moslem", "Obama will take away our rights and give them to blacks (not the word they used), "Obama doesn't salute the flag". These are the views of the parents who can vote. They are so politically and economically illiterate that they will vote against their own self interests. They seem to only read the sports pages and listen to Rush Limbaugh for their news. Sadly, that is the reason so many southern states will vote for McCain. Racism, with a very big R. Luckily, it appears that some of those old white folks in Scranton do read the papers and they finally see what a disaster the Bush era has been and don't want McSame.

Your ignorant remark is racially charged as well as regionally charged. You need to join the 21st century--you are no better than the ignorant parents of those Arkansas school children. I am a proud Southern supporter of Obama/Biden. Your remarks are devisive and do not represent the values of the Obama/Biden campaign. mick3: You need to consider that Gore, Clinton, Carter are southernors. You also need to know that the South consists of many, many African Americans, and some of the MOST liberal Whites you will ever see! I will guarantee you that the average White Dem in the south is much more inclined toward being a Progessive, or even a liberal, than a Dem in say, Michigan.

Yes, it is true that the south has been in the tank for the neocons of late. But the south is not the only area of this country that is.

See, it is this sort of comments that makes southernors call fowl and vote against their own economics. They see this as evidence of "elitism." It is not regional, but rather a 'provincial" mindset where we need to be concerned. The kind of provincialism you speak of, is present in Palin. And no one is farther from the south than she is!

"IS YOUR VOTE SAFE?"

Monday 22 Sept. 2008

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed concern for the safety of the 2008 election.

Transcript: Ring of Fire on Air America Radio

"There are about 30 scams the Republicans are deliberately using, particularly in the swing states to get Democratic voters off the rolls. These scams originate in the so-called Help America Vote Act which was passed after the Florida debacle in the year 2000.

It was originally suggested by Democrats and Republicans but it was passed by a Republican congress with a Republican senate and a Republican president. And instead of reforming what happened in Florida it basically institutionalized all the problems that happened in Florida. And institutionalized a series of impediments that make it very difficult for Democrats to register, for Democrats to vote and then for Democrats to have their vote counted.

"One of these requirements under HAVA is called "the perfect match" and what that does is little known but it is devastating. A quarter of the voters in Colorado have just been removed from the rolls because of this - just this one scam. And what it does is they use a computer system to compare your registration application to all other government records of you in the state. ETC…ETC….

Obama-Badin 2008 & 2012 -

REMEMBER - PALIN WILL COME OUT WITH ALL SORTS OF PUNCHES TOMORROW NIGHT - SO BE READY.
