Just two days after again promising the nation that he would veto every single spending bill with earmarks to cross his desk, John McCain said on Sunday that he would have voted for an appropriations bill containing two thousand earmarks.
The video is below, along with his oft-repeated veto promise.
It raises the question: if McCain can't even vote against it, how will he find the courage to veto it?

Jed - When I saw McCain say this on Snufflelupagus' show on Sunday, my draw dropped to the grown! But, I haven't seen anyone talking about McCain's latest lie. Didn't he say to his Ohio crowd today that America wants a President that will always tell you the truth! Thank you.

Oh you're kidding...McCain is going to veto earmarks? Gee, he would be a perfect president if only he had also been a POW....what you'r ekidding!!! The only two criteria that matter...he promises to veto earmarks and he got caught by the Viet Cong while bombing civilians.....

Unless he gets a line item veto there is no way he could veto every bill with earmarks. It ain't gonna happen. Hopefully we'll never get a chance to find out.
