I Like ItI Don’t Like It

David Kurtz at TPM writes, "John McCain made the morning show rounds today. On Fox they were virtually begging him to 'suspend' his campaign again in the wake of the bailout failure yesterday on the Hill. You know, since it worked out so well the first time. McCain's answer: He just might suspend again."

McCain's comments follow a blog post by William Kristol yesterday arguing, "if this is really 'a national economic crisis,' and others have failed to lead, then McCain should lead--by re-suspending his campaign (fine, let observers mock him when he announces this), and leading his party and the Congress towards a solution. They won't mock if he can pull this off."

Watch the video of McCain on Fox News this morning:

EVERYONE!

Please go to this link and hear McCain say right out of his mouth ..."IF I WERE DICTATOR, AS I HAVE ASPIRED TO BE..."

I hope Sarah Palin can explain away McCain's words here.

ANY MORE QUESTIONS AS TO HIS INTENT?

How about 'suspending' it permanently and save us all this grand fiasco?

Interesting idea... with given a good reason...
competition is good... someone somewhere will learn.
our nation is not a testing ground for not-yet-ready in terms of qualification candidate...
meaning... freshman is just the beginning... one out of how many chance - can graduate 4 year ed in 3 months? The chance is very slim... in addition 300mio. plus next generations life... PLEASE

Good! Wish he'd suspend his campaign indefinitely and retire to a home for the elderly.

We all are going to be retiring and getting older someday...
Let's be polite...

Allow to use... "Thank you for your services so far... we all learned so much from this campaign and best of all lucks and enjoy the life" as retirement congratulatory note.

I'm glad she got him after he started saying the whole bs about Obama.
He just CAN'T leave Obama out of it. God it's irritating - I would love to smack his smirking face (wow, sounds like I'm talking about G Dub.!)

Maybe one of the senior Republican advisors, preferably one that worked with Ronald Reagan, should tell John McCain that American loves a fighter but hates a quitter. There's one for the Gipper.

So IF he was president, would he suspend that too?

I wouldn't be surprised - If he's got Putin on one hand saying he'll bomb the US and Ahmindinijhad on the other saying he'll bomb the US
Imagine THAT conundrum.

Definition of MAVERICK taken from Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary

A maverick: an independent individual who does not go along with a group or party.

infamous: having a reputation of the worst kind.

There have been infamous mavericks throughout history.
Could this man be one of them.

If McCain is "willing to do whatever it takes" to get us out of the "deepest fiscal crisis in American history" why not use the Defense Budget to bail Wall Street out? It's coincidentally almost the same as the 'Bailout' request. Does McCain have the courage of his convictions?

Nope...when he says he'll do whatever it takes he means: suspending his campaign, swiftboating Obama, doing interviews with Ms. Piggy...you know stuff like that.

After playing that video I clicked on one of the small embedded clips under the replay and in that clip from today McCan't ACTUALLY denied he blamed the failure of the bailout bill on Senator Obama and the Democrats and then shifted the subject. Now I ACTUALLY took the time to watch what he ACTUALLY said yesterday on two different sites and then listened to him deny it in this clip today, after the fact. Now this really bothers me you know...... cause now I don't know whether to believe what McCan't said today.......or my own lying eyes!

Oh my god. Who is this "anchor?" I have never seen him before, but he sounds like a dolt with no sense of what has happened over the past week. This is embarrassing to watch. Is this supposed to be a national cable news channel, because this guy looks like he is from a small-town affiliate. Yikes. Not only did his question make no sense grammatically, but his question to McCain was basically, "Hey, I think doing this will help your poll numbers. Will you do it for me?"

The Republicans are a broken party and they're all panicking- at our expense. Nancy Pelosi is right but should've kept her mouth shut to avoid giving them ammo. I sthis country as nuts as I think it is? Why isn't Obama at 90%? Everything is such a mess we're gonna end up being bought out by the United States of China, Korea, and Iran.

I should go back to college and party myself into unconsciousness... like I did in the 60's.

Obama isn't at 90% because of the bigots.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:49 AM on 10/01/2008

...and the religious zealots.....over 40% of Americans support this dolt McCain, these religious wacko's will come out to vote in droves. Hopefully the younger voters will show up on election day.

It is INSANE that Obama's not at 90%! I totally agree. The percentage still supporting McCain are
S T U P I D, ignorant, dumb, whatever you want to call them.
