McCain May Suspend Campaign Again

David Kurtz at TPM writes, "John McCain made the morning show rounds today. On Fox they were virtually begging him to 'suspend' his campaign again in the wake of the bailout failure yesterday on the Hill. You know, since it worked out so well the first time. McCain's answer: He just might suspend again."

McCain's comments follow a blog post by William Kristol yesterday arguing, "if this is really 'a national economic crisis,' and others have failed to lead, then McCain should lead--by re-suspending his campaign (fine, let observers mock him when he announces this), and leading his party and the Congress towards a solution. They won't mock if he can pull this off."

McCain, yet again tries to spin the Tax and Spend accusation against Obama. The Feds just authorized $680,000,000 cash infusion into Financials. McCain is STILL seeking to do what ever it takes to spend another $700,000,000 of TAXES on his Bailout Package.

That is 1,380,000,000. OR,,, Thirteen TRILLION, three hundred eighty,,, BILLION dollars. Tax Dollars. Taxes collected NOW or Taxes collected from our Grandchildren and possibly GREAT Grandchildren. AND,, McCain will go to any length to see this Bailout go forward. Suspend his campaign, go to Washington, Meet with President Bush, who is forcing this on the American Tax Payer(s), future Tax Payers. He agrees to help Bush, meet with Bush, bring his influence to bear on Congress in support of Bush, to force this Bill through.

Excuse me? But where is the Maverick in these Bush driven activities and support? Has anyone ever thought to seek ways to encourage Private Enterprise to seek their own solutions?

All we see from BUSH and McCain is more Tax and Spend.

I am waiting for some member of Main Stream Media to ask one simple question.

After McCain has sought continually and TAXED and SPENT,, Trillions,,,,,, IN ONE WEEK,,,,, how ever could this man, in all good conscience, continue to run ads Smearing Obama/Biden as Tax and Spend,,, Democrats?

I don't think McCain knew until the $1,000,000,000,000 (Trillion) drop in the DOW, what was really at stake. What he doesn't understand is that the constituents saying don't do this, are not directly affected, immediately. They will be, in short order, and they will be sorry. However, McCain should have known this would disrupt the Small Business, Car Dealerships and Community Banks ability to lend, but he really doesn't know what to do. He can't understand the link between Wall Street and Main Street, which is evident by his latest Ads.

As usual he is coming up with ideas, once Obama has stated them publicly.
