I Like ItI Don’t Like It

David Kurtz at TPM writes, "John McCain made the morning show rounds today. On Fox they were virtually begging him to 'suspend' his campaign again in the wake of the bailout failure yesterday on the Hill. You know, since it worked out so well the first time. McCain's answer: He just might suspend again."

McCain's comments follow a blog post by William Kristol yesterday arguing, "if this is really 'a national economic crisis,' and others have failed to lead, then McCain should lead--by re-suspending his campaign (fine, let observers mock him when he announces this), and leading his party and the Congress towards a solution. They won't mock if he can pull this off."

Watch the video of McCain on Fox News this morning:

Yea, Woohoo.. Go Ahead and suspended the campaign. This time around the house will pass the bill and you would take all the credit. You know, the credit you thought you would get this week but instead back fired. When at first you don't succeed, Dust yourself off and try again.. Smart move McCain.. Yayyy. Except for one thing. We're not stupid. Thanks for continuing to be a moran and allowing us democrats to poll higher and higher each week. :P

Ok, here's the $64,000 question: What the hell are we going to do if mcbush wins this election either legally or through thievery?

Failure is not an option! We all have to do everything we can to win this. Barack is not only fighting McCain/Palin, he's fighting off smear campaigns, voter caging tactics, Bill Clinton's unreliable support, Brokaw's leanings toward McCain, etc, etc. He must be the last man standing in this contest and the only way he can do this is with our help. Remember, he said this is not about him, it's about us. It's up to us to deliver this election.

To suspend or not to suspend? I don't think anyone would really notice the difference. It's not like we're in suspended animation and can't stand the suspense. The McCain campaign keeps trying different things to shake things up. Go ahead it's like a kid with a soda can.

Stephen Colbert said it best when he pointed out that John McCain is a maverick! He said he would rather lose a presidential campaign than lose a war. Now he' proven to be a maverick again because he would rather lose a presiential campaign than win a presidential campaign!

He looks, and sounds, very tired. Maybe is an excuse so he can go and rest, take long naps, and so he doesn't have to hear what the air head is saying during interviews. Too much stress for an older person.

Yep.....I agree he should suspend his campaign again....it keeps getting in the way for his time at the Crap Tables. How can he keep his mind on stuff that lobyists tell him to say in his campaign if he is kept away from his crap tables?

Suddenly, all I can think of is a long shaggy-dog tale, one in which the punch line involves trying to get the deceased author of the 'hokey pokey'' into a coffin. "First, they put the right foot in..."

John McCain's campaign is going to be like that.

If this were high school, he would be beyond suspension and looking at expulsion for his juvenile and mischievous pranks of deceit, division, and gimmickry while others are trying to engage in the serious process of teaching and learning. McCain is truant from the school of democracy and was last seen writing on the school’s outer brick walls “Fascism Rules”. He is not fit to be a Baird man. Obama will make us proud if we give him a chance where McCain will only continue his downward sucking vortex of disappointment, division to solidify power, dirty politics to satisfy ambition and greed, and downright disturbing tendencies of egomaniacal behavior that threatens to start the mother of all food fights in the cafeteria of nations. McCain has not distinguished himself he has pinpointed himself to be the class clown, the troublemaker, the instigator, the bully, the gambler in stall two in the second floor bathroom, the bad seed -- and those are his redeeming qualities. Expel this man from the process, or let fascism rule and the gun rise and the bombs drop in clusters to scorch the entire earth for the derelict student would have taken over the hallowed institution and thereby sullied the bedrock principles.
