Palin Says She's "Everyday Working Class" Despite $250K Income, 5 Properties, 2 Boats, And 1 Plane

I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Palin

This defines being out of touch. On Hugh Hewitt's radio show, Sarah Palin calls herself "an everyday working class American" -- but the truth is that her family income is $250K and she owns five properties, two watercraft, and an airplane.

Here she was on Hewitt's show:

Todd and I, heck, we’re going through that right now even as we speak, which may put me again kind of on the outs of those Washington elite who don’t like the idea of just an everyday working class American running for such an office.

The Washington Times (who'd have thunk it?) puts the lie to her claim:

Their combined income of nearly a quarter-million dollars last year was five times the median household income for Wasilla's 7,000 residents. They own a single-engine plane, two boats, two personal watercraft and a half-million-dollar, custom-built home on a lake that is worth three times the average of other homes in town. For the future, they also have a 401(k) retirement account compliments of Todd Palin's years as an engineer with oil giant BP.

So I guess the question is: who's more out of touch, Palin or McCain?

This defines being out of touch. On Hugh Hewitt's radio show, Sarah Palin calls herself "an everyday working class American" -- but the truth is that her family income is $250K and she owns five prope...

McCain says "rich" = making $5 million a year.

Palin's "working middle class" = $250K per year.

Wow, point me to the nearest Republican Recuitment Office!
(I bet their posters are fabulous too).

She may be working class in respect to education, knowledge, social activities and family but in no way is she working class or joe sixpack in the way of her religious beliefs. No way. Sorry. She is lying.

The $250k figure is still nothing compared to the McCain family's $6 million a year income, 7 houses and 13 cars.

Check out this CNN story about the McCain 13-bedroom mansion:

So now you understand why Sarah Palin considers herself working class. For a Republican she is working poor.

Time to look at her income tax records; republicans are not good at following the law.

She won't release her tax records until AFTER the depate on Thursday. Gee, I wonder why? Because she knows that she'd get called on it?

Fellow citzens, I am proudly standing here to humbly see,
I assure you, and I mean it, now, who says I don't speak out as plain as day?
And, fellow citzens, I'm for progress and the flag- long may it fly,
I'm a poor girl, come to greatness, so, it follows that I cannot tell a lie.

Ooh I love to dance a little sidestep, now they see me now they don't,
I've come and gone and, ooh I love to sweep around the wide step,
Cut a little swathe and lead the people on.

Nice cut on the "Washington elite". She should have been challenged to define what she considers an elite and explain how McCain is different. Perhaps her cut was really against intellectual elites - a group Sarah's small mind will never be a part of.

Yep. According to John McCain, we don't get out of the working class until we hit $5 million. Sarah Palin is just using McCain's definition. Don't blame her. Give John the noogie! LOL!

Who can relate to the working class? Obama is one house away from being homeless. Palin and McSame can afford to lose several homes and they'll still be better off than all of us.

But you have to be able to pay for any of those houses.

As George Carlin said, if you own a van, you will always have a place to live.

$250,000 income? Well-NOW I know why she's screaming with pain over Obama's alleged 'tax increases! And-since CREDIT and DEBT is in the news lately-how much is STILL OWED on those properties? On the house? On the plane? On the boats?

I, for one Obama voter, GET IT that Alaskan incomes are not the same as the 'lower 49' and that PERHAPS a plane IS necessary for travel to remote areas-especially when wolf hunting figures in. HOWEVER-to claim she's 'just working class' is NOT a real VOTE GETTER with the ACTUAL Working Class. The ACTUAL Working Class is in danger of foreclosure or has been foreclosed on, can't stretch a shrinking paycheck to cover the rising costs of food and gas and is in DANGER of LOSING it's 401k's, pensions and Social Security. What's MORE-the ACTUAL Working Class will be lucky IF they see over $250,000 in INCOME IN THEIR ENTIRE WORKING LIVES! A house worth 'three times the average of any of the other houses in TOWN'? Now I KNOW why they keep all those GUNS!!

Now I get it! Now I understand why she doesn't like Obama...

Remember guys and gals... Under Obama's Tax Plan, everyone earning less than $250,000.00 per year gets a tax break? I mean a BIGGER tax break and a refund than John McCain's.

So our poor Sara Palin who owns 5 properties, 2 boats and 1 plane and earns more than $250K per year will miss out on Obama's Tax plan...hence she is angry at him and at us.

Shame on you Plain! Pay up and stop crying!
