Couric Palin

During their interview Monday, Katie Couric asked Sarah Palin what newspapers and magazines she read to inform her worldview before being tapped as John McCain's Vice Presidential running mate. And Tuesday on the "CBS Evening News," Palin's answer was revealed: "most of them," "all of 'em," and "any of 'em."

Palin would not, or could not, name a specific news source, saying only, "I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news too. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where, it's kind of suggested and it seems like, 'Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C. may be thinking and doing when you live up there in Alaska?' Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America."

Watch (discussion of media sources begins approximately 3:45 in):

TRANSCRIPT:

Katie Couric: And when it comes to establishing your worldview, I was curious: what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this to stay informed and to understand the world?
Sarah Palin: I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media.
KC: But, like, what ones specifically? I'm curious.
SP: All of 'em, any of 'em that have been in front of me over all these years.
KC: Can you name a few?
SP: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news too. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where, it's kind of suggested and it seems like, 'Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C. may be thinking and doing when you live up there in Alaska?' Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America.

Sarah is feeding SNL more gaffes to make fun of her with the kind of responses she has to the media. She's now replaced Bush as the source of comedy fodder.

What's next, Letterman? Great Moments in (future) Vice Presidential Speeches? LOL!

Duh!

I might have read the New York Times many times this year alone more than Sarah has ever read it in her entire lifetime.

Sarah Palin is not smart enough to be a parent, a mayor nor a governor of any state but Alaska.

What a cluster F**k this candidate for vice-president.

She should exit from this election and take us, the American people out of our misery with her.

Neither sexist not political, simply unacceptable.

An irate voter.

She seems to read as much as Bush does. Probably reads newspapers and magazines at the beauty parlor, the doctor's office, the grocery checkout stand... yea, that's the ticket!

Wow, Palin is really good at dodging questions. All she has to do is give her personal opinion instead of her political view and she can get out of answering anything! Her policy would be so extreme so she is avoiding a straight answer. If she had it her way, no abortions would be allowed under any circumstance, even rape and incest.

Palin reads all of them -- she must be a fast reader. lol.
