Unearthed Video: McCain Pushed Bush Iraq War Agenda Two Months After 9/11

Recently unearthed video shows that just two months after 9/11, John McCain was not only fully aware of the Bush Administration's Iraq War Agenda, but also that he actively helped make the argument for war.

In an interview broadcast November 28, 2001 on ABC News Nightline, McCain:

* Said that the Bush Administration would build a case for military conflict with Iraq, and expressed his support for such action

* Advanced false claims made by the Bush Administration about the threat of Iraqi WMD

* Connected Iraq with 9/11 by repeating the false claim that 9/11 hijacker Muhammad Atta had met with Iraq intelligence authorities in Prague before 9/11

McCain is loser. If one observe the photo of what purports to be McCain being brought out of water, but Vietnamese citizens, the man being carted out has black hair. McCain has frosted hair in other photos.

I think it is quite relevant reference. Especially as guilt by association is much promoted by McCain and the GOP.

TN, I agree. The Obama campaign should have this video in an ad by the time we wake on Wednesday morning. Someone said that Bush was digging a hole in which this country cannot climb out of and McCain is holding the shovel. This video proves that McCain is stapled to Bush. It should be interesting to see McBush and his surrogates try to spin their way out of this one. This is also great fodder for the next debate. Obama campaign, are you guys listening?

When voters in swing states mention that they are concerned about John McCain's propensity for war, I remind them that he was one of the first public figures making the case, soon after 9/11, for invading Iraq. Thank you for this video. I will bookmark it, and I will use it.

i'm not sure if it is saying what you think. if you think build means invent, then no. No one would be crazy enough to admit they were inventing a case. I think he just meant build a case as in make a case. That said, they obviously invented the case; i'm just saying McCain doesn't admit to that in this video.

This was not an isolated incident. McCain was on the Letterman show and I clearly remember him promoting the invasion of Iraq shortly after the bombing started in Afganistan. I cringed at his promoting more war at a time that Mr. Letterman was conducting his daily shows in an attempt to heal the wounds of nine eleven. Can someone did up and post that video?
