A full 162-game schedule will not be enough to decide the 2008 American League Central title.
Unlike last week's three-game sweep at the Metrodome, the White Sox will have the Twins on their home turf for Tuesday's one-game tiebreaker at 6:30 p.m. CT on TBS and MLB.TV -- the first such contest in the history of either franchise and the second in 10 years in Chicago.
The White Sox forced Tuesday's historic meeting between the division rivals on Monday by virtue of an 8-2 victory over the last-place Tigers, in a makeup game from a postponement on Sept. 13. The win followed a three-hour, four-minute rain delay and then a contest that lasted 10 minutes longer at U.S. Cellular Field.
