I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Elisabeth Hasselbeck

"The View" heated up over politics again Wednesday morning, specifically around the subject of Sarah Palin's readiness to be President.

"She doesn't know anything about it!" Whoopi Goldberg said, which set off co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

"In terms of experience, she's actually been leading a microcosm of the United States of America," Elisabeth responded.

Things heated up even more after Elisabeth took a swipe at Joe Biden, prompting Barbara Walters to say, "Every single day you never ever say, maybe there's another point, so this is your chance....Tell us now why you think that Sarah Palin would make a very good President."

Elisabeth's response? "Tell me why Barack Obama is qualified to be President."

Watch as Elisabeth eventually puts together a list which includes "she has been in charge of the National Guard during a time of war":

I never even considered the fact that if McCain wins and god forbid something ever happened to him Palin would be president, scary thought. I’m not an Elizabeth Hasselbeck fan because she is so close-minded and rude. I thought she was very disrespectful when both Sen. Obama and Michelle were on the view. Not to mention the fact that she lacks common sense. How is she upset that Obama spent money donated to him for the purpose of advertising and supporting his campaign on a 30 min infomercial. Yet she has no problem with Palin spending $150,000 on clothes that supporter donated to her campaign. Who is the more responsible spender?

Elizabeth is a narrow minded and predictable "one note". Who could possibly take anything she says seriously when she can't ever see another point of 'view'. She really shouldn't be as vocal as she is....it's painful to watch!

Will someone please educate Elizabeth Hasselback and other Palin supporters to understand that a Governor running a State's National Guard is virtually ceremonial in nature. The State Adjutant Generals and the Federal Govt make the decisions on the mission of the Guard. The Governor's have no control or management roles of those Guardsmen dispatched under orders to fight wars beyond our borders. That call is made by the DOD not a Governor.

Somehow Elizabeth Hasselbeck is so misinformed in thinking that Palin has this awesome background of leadership with military affairs whcih is a total joke to those like me who have served in the Guard. Only time Governor even gets involved in Guard matters occurs normally if a State faces an internal natural disaster which normally they leave the decisions to the Guard's State Adjuntant General to make the plans and decisions.

She is NOT QUALIFIED...
Scary to think... both NOT QUALIFIED running with each other claiming they are...
I am going to quit watching her story or any shows that she is in...
Because... it gives me a chill... to think someone really think Palin can lead this country...

Hasselback needs to go. I don't watch anymore because she argues about EVERYTHING. She defends things that don't make sense....just so she can argue about it. She likes to hear herself talk. She thinks she knows more than everybody else. It's her point....and that's it. Hardly does she ever see someone else's point of view. It's gotten very old. Now palling around with Palin, I'm so done.

LOL @ her saying that FDR was not President during the Depression. Seriously? Does she actually think that FDR was elected after the Depression was completely over or something or does she realize that a lot of social safety nets we have now like the FDIC were created during the FDR era to deal with the Depression, which probably would have turned out much worse without FDR's then-criticized acts of intervention?

I am so sick of Elizabeth that I refuse to watch the show with her on it.
She is a basher and is bringing the network down.

I think she needs to be given her walking papers...

Monday Oct 6, the ladies on The View (unfortunately minus Joy, who was performing out of town) were discussing attack ads -- Obams & Ayers, and The Keating Five. Barbara said, "Can't we agree that we have enough REAL issues facing us without resorting to smear campaigns on either side?" But Elizabeth just wouldn't let it go, continuing to harp on the Obama'-Ayers association while insisting the Keating5 is history...andd anyway, charges against McCain were dropped so to bring it up is unfair. (never mind the charges against Ayers were dropped AND he's not even the candidate! Plus the K5 biz is actually related to the current banking meltdown) ) The others were beating up on her. Even Barbara seemed exasperated, Babs kept reiterating her point about sticking to the ISSUES but Elis, the little GOP windup doll, just kept spitting out the same BS about Obama and Ayers. Just the same old tired talking points. Can't she think for herself? There are only two kinds of Repugs: 1) the rich who may feel (for whatever misguided reason) that they're good for their wallets and 2) the intellectually lazy who cannot or will not think for themselves. I've yet to hear any Mc supporter offer anything other than repetitive talking points -- I've not heard insight, in depth analysis, logic or logical consistency -- just hypocrisy, lies, nonsense, etc. Well,as my father used to say, "If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, bamboozle 'em with b@IIsh1t."

I don’t mind her Elizabeth’s opinion, but I do mind her intolerance of others views and opinions. As a professional white female (who ONCE supported McCain) EH could really stand to dial it down. I hate to say it; I think she may be racist…can you imagine the flack Tim must get for being married to her? Wholly cow.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck isn't the brightest bulb in the box. She married the wrong brother, that's enough evidence for me, LOL

Both Palin and Hasselbeck are idiots.

The women of The View have the patience of a saints while dealing with Ms. Hasselbeck.
It's so disheartening to hear a young woman with so little understanding of the economy, sexism, the war (even advocating torture), women's' right to choose and the basic prejudices of contemporary Evangelism etc. voice opinions with so little depth and arrogant ignorance. Her Republican rhetoric is painfully shallow.
The cutesy naivete goes just so far before her audacity and often, stupidity become obnoxious.
Hopefully, Joy Behar will continue to interrupt the dishonest right-wing diatribes and call out the coy little blonde on her narrow and misinformed point of view.
Unfortunately, Ms.Hasselbeck's defensively outrageous outbursts reflect poorly on Ms.Walters whom, at one time, I considered an actual journalist.
