Elisabeth Hasselbeck Fumbles When Asked Why Sarah Palin Would Make A Good President On "The View"

"The View" heated up over politics again Wednesday morning, specifically around the subject of Sarah Palin's readiness to be President.

"She doesn't know anything about it!" Whoopi Goldberg said, which set off co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

"In terms of experience, she's actually been leading a microcosm of the United States of America," Elisabeth responded.

Things heated up even more after Elisabeth took a swipe at Joe Biden, prompting Barbara Walters to say, "Every single day you never ever say, maybe there's another point, so this is your chance....Tell us now why you think that Sarah Palin would make a very good President."

Elisabeth's response? "Tell me why Barack Obama is qualified to be President."

Watch as Elisabeth eventually puts together a list which includes "she has been in charge of the National Guard during a time of war":

Elizabeth has got to go. She totally lost it once again on today's show. It was painful and extremely irritating to watch. I don't know how those women sit next to her day after day. She is absolutely repugnant. There are so many similarities between Sarah Palin and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. For one thing neither one ever knows what the hell they are talking about, and both of them are being overly prepped by members of the far right wing lunatic fringe.
If the View wants its ratings to go up, they need to fire Elizabeth. Everyone who I speak to says that she makes the show unwatchable and stomach turning. Rumor has it Fox news wants her anyway. Let her be their problem.

This is want makes Sarah scary, is the simple fact that she does have these passionate supporters who place ideology above qualifications. Sarah does give good talking points and that is it, and to some narrow minded individuals that is all they see and hear. I noticed that durind this exchange Elizabeth resorted to the "I'll blame others, talk bad about others" to answer the question, which in reality she/they never do. This is what they do when cornered, they can't provide any facts or anything "specifically" to make their point. The spew divises rhetoric, that is all they can do.

you can tell she had nothing and that her plan was to distract from the original question. I don't even think she's stupid. she's just so biased on this issue she can't even argue rationally. When Bush was either running or in power, everything he did was perfect according to her. Now that McCain is running he gets the same treatment from her even though McCain has been critical of Bush as of late. She belongs on Fox news. I don't care if they have a republican on set, i don't even care if they support McCain but at least call it like it is.

And, I enjoy watching her fall on her sword darn near everyday. You'd think she'd start to notice the open wounds and all the blood.

Bush has a 70% DISapproval rating and Elisabeth Hasselbeck still supports him. I remember watching the view when Colin Powell admitted that he was mislead into believing that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and EH still took Bush's side. It's unbelieveable. It is time for EH to go. Even Barbara couldn't stand any more of EH.

I tried to send EH a message some months back over something else stupid she said and The View has taken off the feature where you can e-mail one of the hosts directly. I bet it's because EH gets so much hate mail.
