Sarah Palin On Flute: Watch Her Beauty Pageant Talent (VIDEO)

Last week the video of Sarah Palin's swimsuit competition from the 1984 Miss Alaska pageant hit the web. Now video of her talent portion has gone online. Below, video of Sarah Palin on flute. As the announcer says, she is:
"An accomplished flautist who has been performing for ten years. She will be performing "The Homecoming" as written by Nathan Hardy..."

She did not win the title.

I'm a musician. Palin plays out of tune -- sharp -- throughout the entire song. At times, she goes a full quarter tone sharp, which is a lot. No finesse or musicality either. It is playing like your average Joe-six-pack junior high school student flute player, and nothing more. In context of the Miss Alaska for Miss America pageant, it is pretty hard to believe she got 3rd in the talent portion. They probably try to go easier on the pretty ones, and grade them up a bit. However, I do not fault her for trying to play the flute, or for wanting scholarship money through beauty pageantry.

For the tone deaf who think her playing is lovely, this is a metaphor for the way you think of her run for VP. Because she is beautiful, and tries so hard in everything she does, people insist on thinking she is qualified. She's no more qualified to take over as president, by her communications skills as revealed in the Couric interview, than she is ready to become principal flute in the NY Philharmonic.

Never mind her elementary rendition on the flute, I was transfixed by her bra! Every time she lifted her arms to play I saw her bra. Was that deliberate? One thing that hasn't changed over the years and five kids later, Palin still has raging hormones.

Being a flutest and long time musician, I have to say she is musically untalented in my opinion. Dry, predictable, pedestrian, boring, and without color. I don't even find her all that attractive. It boggles my mind how McCain thought this chick could get him into the White House.

You have to admit that she really has a wide range of interests--music, hunting moose, running, PTA, running a state, reading on occasion, all while maintaining a marriage and family and having babies. I think she does her own cooking, since she said she fired the cook to save the state money, and still has time left over to spend on keeping up her appearance.
