I Like ItI Don’t Like It

[Via Gawker/Sullivan] Back in 2004, filmmaker Robert Greenwald released a documentary called Outfoxed, which spent seventy-five minutes diving deeply into the arcane workings of the Fox News Channel, painstakingly building the case that the cable news outlet's presentations of "fair and balanced" news was underpinned by a demonstrable and pervasive conservative bias. What a difference four years makes! Watch this clip, in which everything a nation of Fox skeptics have claimed becomes readily apparent in under thirty seconds.

I hope the world see this clip! Better still I hope the country sees this clip. Whoops! There goes 'fair and balanced news'.

I guess his own hand being the ONLY one raised as voting for McCain makes the room "split" in the world of Fox bias!

At the 12 second mark of the video, the woman made the man next to her put his hand down when they were asked who was going to vote for McCain.

Can that be considered voter suppression.

It's not funny, it's scurrilous. This should make one angry not mirthful.
This isn't a TV show, it's reality. Remember reality?

Calm down, it's Fox. It isn't supposed to be taken seriously. It's a TV show, not reality.

I guess that's what fox means by fair and balance, even the people in the background are laughing.

Did the reporter use to work for the Commission on Elections in Florida?

Well, 1.5 to 9.5 IS split... I guess.

In the background at a table a man answers the question of 'who will vote for McCain?' by raising his hand. His wife {assumably} pulls his arm down. Then when asked 'who will vote for Obama?' she raises both arms and her husband {assumably} raises his also.

This is a demonstration of the insanity of American politics and Faux News interpretation.

I can't watch the video because I'm abroad and on dialup, but I've been watching a lot of Fox News lately, and I'm horrified. One of their major topics this week is how people shouldn't be allowed to register to vote and vote on the same day. One of their big arguments is that homeless people don't have a verifiable address, so they shouldn't be allowed to vote. They also express outrage that the Obama campaign is busing people to early voting centers. How can they be outraged that people are voting!?

there was a reporter in Scranton PA and he asked everybody in a diner to raise their hand if they were voting for McCain. On one did. He repeated the same for Obama and everyone raised their hands. Then the reporter said that it was split but was a little heavier for Obama, and that's why NE Pennsylvania is a battleground state. Showing how "fair and balanced" Fixed Noise is.

isn't that the video that's posted up here?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:33 AM on 10/02/2008

easy the outrage is over the fact that they are people that don't vote for them.

They are outraged only because they are terrified that they will lose. The more people who come out to vote, the more likely the chance that they will lose.

Love the audience laughter as he pronounces it a split.

I guess if 1 person was for McCain, that could technically be a split, especially by Fox's definition.

The one person who raised his hand for McCain was slapped in the arm by his wife and put his hand back down. He put his hand up for Obama.

Meaning one vote for each, and his wife votes twice for Obama. That's a sure - victory! Faux News scores a scoop!

Fox News - As fair as a Florida election. As balanced as Ann Coulter when she's off her meds.
