Barack Obama's speech on Tuesday in Reno, Nevada reminded me just how nice it would be to finally have a president who is able to convey his ideas.

If you have a few minutes, it's worth watching. Barack was at his best, and it'll fire you up for these last 34 days. You might even find yourself daydreaming about what it's going to be like when he's president -- if we manage to elect him.

We gotta' win this thing. We're gonna' win this thing.

This man has literally made me cry . . .! And I'm a grown, hard man . . .! Wow! How can there be any other choice? I'm a newly naturalized citizen and his vision for America is the reason I came to this country!!! I have an extremely painful rash of goosebumps washing me away right now!! God Bless America and Full Speed Ahead with the Resurrection of the Better Angels within us all!!! I Love this Country!!!

How many people were at this rally? That's astonishing! I haven't watched this one, but I did watch the 28 minute Virginia in the rain rally and that was pretty inspiring, too.

Awesome speech! I love this man and just signed up to make phone calls to undecided voters. I've supported with $$$$ but resisted with my time. I'm a small business owner, mom, wife, stretched to the limit...but this man has to become president for our sake and our children's sake.

Richard Reeves wrote an excellent article during the primaries explaining how communicating is the most important job of a President. One quotes stand out:

"The president's job is not to run the country; it is to lead the nation. In that business, words are more important than deeds."

He also described Sen. Obama as "eloquent and inspirational" saying "he can move people....his words can persuade and prepare them to do what must be done".
Does that even come close to describing John McCain?

This is an amazing speech!
You guys don't realise how lucky you are to have this man as your next potential leader.
He is hampered by his name, the colour of his skin, and his (perceived) lack of experience.
There is an ancient saying (and I am paraphrasing here)... countries get the leader they most deserve.
Please, please, America - deserve President Barack Obama.
With love from your friends across the pond.

I can't begin to thank you enough for this link! It was incredible to relive that day again. I'm buying prints for my 83 year old Grandmother to put up on her wall! She said she hadn't even consider doing something like that since Kennedy was alive! I've even put a few of the pics on my Facebook and MySpace pages. If you admire this man, this pictorial of his triumphant day will fill your heart.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Awesome!

Thank you for your post. I had the same thought when I heard this speech yesterday.

Compare this to Bush misleading and misinforming the American public on the Iraq War and its connections to the terrorists attacks on 9/11

Compare this to McCain's Elmer Fudd-y-like reactive, snarky and impulsive comments on the same topic. A leader he is not. (Doesn't he make you feel safe and secure in his strong and able leadership??!?!?)

Compare this to the spectacularly uninformed and uninterested in the world around her, candidate for Vice President Sarah Palin. She didn't even take the time and interest in the Iraq War even while preparing to send her son off to possibly die for its cause!?!?!?!?! Why on earth would she take the time to study, investigate, question and debate the complicated and extremely dangerous situations this country is facing. I mean elect me folks. At least I read the newspapers, magazines and news organizations on the web such as this one and have a concerned interest in the world around me. I am certain that I know more than she does and that's without any coaching. Soccer Mom of 3 PTA volunteer and regular church goer also included.

Thank God we have an intelligent, thoughtful, smart, hard working, strong communicator who is running for President. Let's hope, for the sake of this country and this world that Barack Obama wins and that it is not too late.

I do like to see that he's been getting better and better over a very short period of time, and I consider that as a very important indicator of a great leader.

This man makes me feel proud to be an American.

'Nuff said.
