After seeing Sarah Palin's Supreme Court stumble, I'm more curious than ever to know what was going through John McCain's mind when he selected his running mate.

Look at the GOP base, they are mostly old nasty stinking men who would only attend a rally to get a peek at Sarah so when they go back home to their broken down wives they have the sick image of young hot sweet 'I'm the energy' Sarah on their minds.....

mccain probably chose palin because she was the only option who is shorter and less intelligent that him.

To all the Republicans out there, surely you cannot aspire to let this ticket reach the White House, it would be cause for reckless endangerment of your fellow citizens to facilitate such an outcome. Surely those who are proud of the values and traditions of this badly Bush/Cheney battered party cannot further discredit their heritage with the spectacle offered.

Is Palin's decline in her speech pattern, and First Dude's insistence that he and the family accompany her to the AZ ranch a possible indication that she doesn't feel comfortable with McCain? Watching her body language when McCain hugs her at rallies appear to me that he sorta creeps her out. I thought it was odd that the Republican Convention would spend time talking up McCain's reputation with exotic dancers and beauty queens--as if undisciplined Navy men on leave is something we should all admire.
I think it's the difference between her scripted speech and her unscripted speech. And let's face it, even Cindy looks sorta creeped out when McCain hugs her.
His cynical choice is biting him in his cynical @ss. Listening to him talk her up, it's beyond belief that he honestly believes that. He gets the nod for Best Supporting Actor in a Political Comedy.

It's pretty obvious Palin's selection was a shrewdly calculated attempt to pick up all the women voters who were deeply upset that Obama got the nomination and Hilary didn't. Unfortunately, while Palin is resonating with a lot of really ignorant people, she completely lacks the competence that Hilary has in abundance.

And he's been looking like that from the "get go!" Imagine being so weak that you would risk losing an election because of "desire." What's that mccain says, "I would rather lose an election than lose the war." That remark could be replaced with, "I would rather lose an election than lose some!"
