Barney Frank just demolished Falafel Bill O'Reilly on "The Factor."
It was a thing of beauty from the start, and peaked when Frank told O'Reilly that O'Reilly's "stupidity gets in the way of rational discussion." Frank even used the L-word, telling O'Reilly that he was "lying."
O'Reilly had invited Frank on the show to sandbag him, but in the end, Frank thoroughly ruined O'Reilly's plans. Here's video:

There should be an IQ test that people are required to pass before they are allowed to have their own talk show.
And on Fox they would rate it like golf; lowest IQ wins.

I don't know why any rational politician would even go on his show. Talk about giving credibility to a radical.

It may seem a small thing, but Bill O'Reilly is decidedly NOT a radical. He, like far too many on the American Right, is a reactionary. Both terms have distinct meanings, particularly in the realm of politics. As a radical (& poli. sci. geek), myself, I despise being lumped together with fascists like O'Reilly.
A reactionary person/philosophy/movement moves toward political conservatism and authoritarianism. React, as in action in response to something as opposed to original movement. A radical person/philosophy/movement moves toward political liberalism and democracy. Rad-radii-radius, as in the root, source or origins of things.
Reactionaries tend to be ahistorical - they take things as they find them & resist examination and critical thinking in favour of swift & decisive action. This is of a piece with their closed-minded and dualistic view of existence. Reactionary thinking also lends itself well to fundamentalism. I believe that there is a limited place for reactionary thinking, but that it has grown far out of balance in the U.S.
This mania is probably all that keeps OReilly from shooting himself

Why do folks like O'Reilly continue to believe that all Americans are DUMB??
o'Reilly isn't just a stupid, loudmouth that if we don't like we can just not watch his show, he and and others like him twist and misrepresents facts so that people can't make proper decisions. He and others like him have also prompted their listeners to physically hurt their opponents. They are not just ridiculous and stupid THEY ARE DANGEROUS.

Darn, I watched KO to see if BOR got to be the worst person in the world, unfortunately not, he was only 2nd place and not from this clip. Oh well perhaps on his next show.
O'Reilly needs therapy and quite possibly medication. It's only a matter of time until he harms someone or himself. It may be entertaining, but continuing to indulge this man's unstable nature is a recipe for disaster.

What I wonder is why anyone would actually go onto a program like that. Frank knows better. So why do it at all? It's not as if the audiecine tha supports that is capable fo following through with an explanation.

At some point, frankly, it's going to be very likely that there will be resistance to the Fascism that O'Reilly represents. Pray that Obama wins. If McCain wins fair and square, though, fine, the people speak. If they steal it like 2000, there are going to be big consequences this time.
