Watched one of the governor debates for Washington last night. The matter of illegitimate votes came up AGAIN!

Dino Rossi wants to distance himself from the controversy, but he insinuates that he fully supports the notion that he was robbed. Mever mind that the voter tally was scrubbed clean with the use of a microscope.

Rossi lost because 50.0001% of the population sees him for what he is - a liar.

Washington State has one of the most legitimate voting systems in the country.

I am from Washington State and agree wholeheartedly!! I voted for Gregoire the first time around (she's fantastic), and I remember the court case. Rossi is a crook.

does the US allow outside observers? Given how much we harp on other countries to do it, I would be surprised that we don't, even just for propaganda reasons

Excellent question? Bring on the outside observers. Where is Jimmy Carter?

No, outside observer's are generally for third world countries where they are unsophisticated at voting. Based on their government's use of torture, citizen spying, invading sovereign countries, and using the courts to support voter fraud.

This would be hilarious if it weren't so tragic.

Why is the United States the only country in the world without monitored elections? Only rational people need respond.

IF YOU VOTE EARLY IN OHIO YOU GET A REAL PAPER BALLOT. EVERYONE SHOULD VOTE EARLY! NO MACHINES THIS YEAR!

Seriously go vote early, so you can get a real ballot. In Franklin country you can also request a paper ballot on Nov. 4th. However, the campaign wants ppl to vote early.

It's a lot easier to shred a piece of paper than it is to shred a computer.

It's even more easier to rig a computer than you can a piece of paper. Either way you should take the path of least resistance.

Hispanic female. i think that the way people go about campaigning is rediculous. i don't really care if you're a white male/female, black male/female, or an animal for all i care. i just want the president to be someone who can guide this country in the right direction. my ancestors came to America for a better life, and it's sad that some of the people here dont even acknowledge the fact that some of the most magnificent buildings, your homes, or maybe even the office building you're currently in were built by hispanic people. sure others came up with the idea but some hispanic men helped build those.and i'm utterly disgusted at the fact that some caucasian ppl won't vote for obama because he's black, get over it!! he has blood running through his veins just like you do and he has emotions like you do. i'm not suggesting you vote for him because he's black or that you should vote for mccain because his running mate is a female. personally i can care less who or what you are, i just want to see our country succeed. and i want the truth. but who am i kidding, i'm only a "first time voter" hispanic female who just so happens to care about her future, not only for herself but also for her children. i'm not stupid and i work hard for what i have and what i am struggling to provide for my family.

If only more people thought like you do. But to be fair, there are a lot that do. Most of the people around me are voting for the candidate that they feel has the right policies for the country and don't care about race and gender. Unfortunately, their are those few that do care and they make the rest of us look bad.

Hey girl,
Americans who are against hispanics are ignorant. I often hire hispanics to help me around my place. They work hard, all day in the sun, and never ever whine or moan. They are always very very polite and are happy to be paid ($10 per hour).

On the other hand, my white neighbor up the street, who hardly ever works, told me, "I wouldn't work that hard all day"...yet he's about to loose his house. Another white guy I hired brought his friend back to my house while I was at work and robbed me blind.

I respect the hispanic community and me and my family are glad you are here, glad you have been here, and hope to see more of you. We can't blame any minority for our current woes. People forget when you point one finger at someone, there are 3 more pointing back at you.

Thank You
for all the hard honest work and the rich family oriented culture you bring.

Southwestern USA states need to remember their states used to belong to Mexico, but because of war and theft, the USA took their land. No different than what the new Americans did to the Indians are now trying to do in Iraq. They were the invaders then, just as they are now in the Middle East.

We are a country on the skids until we face some very disturbing truths.

More proof that after 20 years, The Simpsons is still the sharpest, funniest show on TV.

The Simpsons didn't start until the early nineties which would make it 15 years at best.

The Simpsons began as a series of animated shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show in April 1987. It became a 30-minute series in December 1989, so it is now in its 20th season.

Funny yet sad.
"...Maybe Ohio..."
More than 400,000 votes in that state were dismissed through voter caging in that state.

Due to provisions in the voting rights act of 2000, officials are now able to cross reference every government document a voter ever signed with their voter registration form in order to verify that they are who they claim to be. 300,000 voters in NJ alone have received letters stating that their eligibility has been questioned, some states haven't even bothered to inform the disenrolled. If it happens to you, you can ask for a provisional ballot at the polling site but there's no guarantee it will be counted.
Go online and make sure that you are eligible to vote and that your name and address are correct. Some are even suggesting that you bring a current phone or utility bill to verify your address.

Found a website where you can find registration deadlines/check eligibility. You can also visit your particular states' site.

Calm down. In 2000, OH, FL, VA, CO, NM, and other swing states had Republican governors and Secretaries of State. This time around, most have Democratic governors and Secretaries of State. Voting integrity is an issue that we must address and realistically should have, but it's a lot harder to cheat when you aren't in charge.

I thought this this was the United States, not Ohio. LOL.

HOWEVER, truth be told:

"Is Your Vote Safe?"

Monday 22 Sept. 2008

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed concern for the safety of the 2008 election.

Transcript: Ring of Fire on Air America Radio

"There are about 30 scams the Republicans are deliberately using, particularly in the swing states to get Democratic voters off the rolls. These scams originate in the so-called Help America Vote Act which was passed after the Florida debacle in the year 2000. It was originally suggested by Democrats and Republicans but it was passed by a Republican congress with a Republican senate and a Republican president.

And instead of reforming what happened in Florida it basically institutionalized all the problems that happened in Florida. And institutionalized a series of impediments that make it very difficult for Democrats to register, for Democrats to vote and then for Democrats to have their vote counted.

"One of these requirements under HAVA is called "the perfect match" and what that does is little known but it is devastating. A quarter of the voters in Colorado have just been removed from the rolls because of this - just this one scam. And what it does is they use a computer system to compare your registration application to all other government records of you in the state. ETC…ETC….

REGARDLESS!!!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Obama-Biden 2008 & 2012
