Hustler Produces Palin-Lookalike Porn

Larry Flynt is using the power of porn to express his views on Sarah Palin.

The Hustler founder and freedom of speech advocate has produced an X-rated movie using an adult-film actress who resembles the Republican vice presidential candidate.

Flynt's producers posted an anonymous help-wanted ad on Craigslist in L.A. just days after the Republican convention. "Looking for a Sarah Palin look-alike," read the ad, "for an adult film to be shot in the next 10 days." The actress would be paid $3,000 for the part, said the ad.

Flynt's spokesman David Carrillo confirmed to us yesterday that the film has been shot by Hustler Video, but he wouldn't yet reveal the title.

This movie could actually garner sympathy and support for Palin from people who find taking discussion about her to this level demeaning. She's been doing a great job of demeaning herself, why do anything that makes her look like a victim?
As unfathomably unqualified, unprepared, and unthinking as she is, she is being singled out in this way because she is a woman. Though I guess one could see why a similar movie featuring a McCain lookalike might not prove successful, for the first time, she could legitimately cry sexism.
Let's not get in our own way here.

Absolutely, I think America can agree that there is no way to stop Larry Flynt, but I was talking more in terms of Obama supporters' reactions. We should take a page from his play book and acknowledge that such a portrayal--released or not--is inappropriate and demeaning, and distracts us from the issues, such as her utter lack of competence to lead if something should happen to McCain.

Prior to this announcement, any claims of sexism against Palin from the McCain camp were laughable. If we aren't clear that this is an unacceptable way to discuss a candidate, those cries are going to sound a lot more realistic. Why provide that opportunity for Palin to claim that others are making her look ridiculous? She does so well on her own.

I mean to say that Sarah Palin must be held up on a pedastel and must never EVER be allowed to be sullied for the sake of her dignity is the epitome of sexism. It is saying that she as a woman can't take the heat and lampooning that we subject 99% of our other politicians to.
