Joe Biden On VP Debate: "I'm Feeling Good"

Boarding the train home to Delaware Wednesday night after voting for the Senate bailout bill, Biden told reporters, "I'm feeling good" about Thursday night's debate with Sarah Palin.

His campaign agrees. "He's ready" said spokesman David Wade as Biden stepped out for lunch in at a local burger joint on Tuesday afternoon in Wilmington.

I don't know about you all, but the "Boarding the train home" part really got me.

I'm sitting here shaking my head, not understanding how there is any doubt as to who in this race best represents the average American.

I just wish all those Palin supporters would realize what it took for her to get to this debate. She had to be COACHED. Coached in the sense she had to be told what to say. If she were experienced and knew McCains policies and truly believed in them she wouldn't have to be coached. There is a huge difference in practicing for a debate and being coached. Seriously ask youself, Palin is president, what would she do at this very moment in an extremely serious crisis situation? She is not going to have time to be coached. She shouldn't need to be coached to be president. She must be experienced in every aspect. Please don't gamble that McCain will last his full term. If she truly knew the issues and policies she wouldn't have had to been on a short leash. This is not a job you can learn as you go. You can't just bat your eyelashes at a foreign leader and think he's going to do what you want him to do.

I think it would be in Biden's best interests to, at the beginning of the debate, make a brief statement basically saying, " I respect my opponent as an equal, and as such I won't be pulling punches. I will treat her as I'd treat a male opponent. She's asserted she's tough and I respect that."

Hopefully, that would appease the audience who will be watching only to see if he comes across as a bully.

And then he could destroy her.
