Natalie Portman Sells $6.55 Million Condo (PHOTOS)

Natalie Portman is unloading her pricey West Village condo, which she's owned since 2005.

The "Star Wars" minx has just gone to contract to sell her apartment in Richard Meier's transparent tower at 165 Charles St. The condo last had an asking price of $6.55 million.

Included in the convertible three-bedroom, three-bath, fifth-floor apartment are views in three directions, a 32-foot balcony and a spacious great room. Building amenities include a 24-hour concierge, a fitness center, an infinity-edge lap pool and a screening room.

Portman, who recently ended her relationship with folk singer Devendra Banhart, bought the glassy 2,500-square-foot, river-fronting unit in 2005 for $5.7 million. She first listed the unit in June for $6.7 million.

According to the listing on Corcoran's website, and their mortgage calculator, a 30-year mortgage at 6.5 % interest with 15% down ($982,500) would leave the buying paying $39,388 a month in mortgage and fees.

Smart girl. One million dollars down and $40,00 per month is way too much of a financial burden for a young woman.

With that kind of outlay, she has to start compromising on quality and start doing so-so films in quantity. If she buys something for a third of that price, she'll be much happier because she won't be over extended and it will be better for her career.

Uhm, do you REALLY think that Portman needs to finance her crib? Financial burden? Chick probably paid for said crib with one film. Yeah, 6 mill is gonna break her. Next thing you know we'll see her in Critters 9 or the The Other Boleyn Girl 2: That Anne B&tch is Back!

The fact that I clicked on it, read it and commented is irrelevant . It doesn't change the fact that it isn't entertaining. Which was my point in the first place. I find your lackluster, reply to my opinion and my comment to be more entertaining. And wow ! They left out the pics of her bathroom. I'm sure people would be entertained by where she went to the toilet also.
