Palin At Debate Refuses To Answer Question

A strange moment in the debate, where Sarah Palin refuses to answer if her ticket would have to pull back on some campaign promises in light of the financial crisis.

Ifill: "As Vice President, there's nothing you've promised as a candidate that you would take off the table because of this financial issue?"

Palin: "There is not, and how long have I been at this? Like five weeks?"

This woman is a joke. Being a VP of the United States is a serious responsibility and Palin spins this like its a joke. We need a serious person in the white house, not someone with a funny accent who bats her eyelashes. That may work at the PTA, but none with the USA.

Are you kidding me!!?? Actually, I almost laughed my butt off when she said that. "I've only been at this like, what, almost five weeks." (sic). So she's ADMITTING to everyone watching that she's not prepared to take over if McCain should die or become incapacitated?

Then there was the line that she would she would answer the questions the way she wanted to, i.e., not necessarily answer the questions as posed to her. I'm a college prof, and if my students told me that they would not answer the questions as written, they would earn an F.

What annoys me the most about her is that she got this far because she's attractive. There's no substance, no knowledge there, no original thought there. She flirts, bashes, utter catchy phrases, pretends to be the average joe, and evades her way into victory. If Sarah Palin had been UGLY, uninformed, and muttered incoherent sentences, she wouldn't have gotten this far. It seems like society is still rewarding attractive people and giving them the benefit of the doubt despite evidence to the contrary.

We now know that she can recite and deliver talking points but that doesn't prove that she's intelligent . The real Sarah Palin is the one in the Katie Couric interviews, not the regurgitating puppet we saw last night.

I thought the stilletto heals from the 80s where a sleezy touch to her wetsuit outfit. Does she not own a suit with trousers? How can we take her seriously in those skin tight pencil skirts and stiletto tramp heels? She gives women in politics a bad name. I think she thinks she is still competing in pagents. Once again women are using their bodies to gain power. In her case it is all she has and even that is crumbling quickly.

You've been at it for 5-weeks so you’re more than halfway there. Just think, in a little more than 30 days you won't have to worry about it any more. When that comedy skit you call a campaign goes bust, you can return to that scandal ridden state of yours.

One bit of advice...... Like the debate, you might want to start rehearsing your answer to that little trooper-gate thing on the horizon. Also, it might be time to “bone up” on some skills. I’m guessing you might be out of the governor’s office once those good people of Alaska see what you’re all about.

So she did answer the question, but being the "folksy",smart ass she is she, again, exposed herself as not being ready to be the leader of the free world.

also.. what is Folksy? and when it that become a desireable characteristic for President of The United States of American? Does "You Bet cha" and "ya dare right" process with Putin, Karzai,Sarkozy,Horst Kohler, just to name a few heads of state?
