Looks like McCain-land wants to take their defense of Sarah Palin into a new level of paranoia: they are now accusing Katie Couric and CBS News of leaving Palin's strongest moments on the edit-room floor.
The accusation came from McCain's top economic adviser, Douglas Holtz-Eakin just a few minutes ago on Hardball.

I guess CBS is now off limits. I'm shocked Katie wasn't told she was being "belittling!" Pretty soon, the only clips of the McCain campaign will come from the Fair and Balanced network - FOX!
Unless those shots of Palin were CGI I don't think there's any way to blame the final clips on editing - THAT WAS HER! PERIOD!
CBS and Couric should just put the whole unedited interview online. They probably put the best parts in and left off stuff that is EVEN WORSE!!!

What is amazing to me is the famous Couric question regarding other Supreme Court decisions and she couldn't think of a single one. Well, in June, the Supreme Court reduced the liability damages Exxon had to pay, and she was visibly disappointed by it. it looks to me like McCain's handlers have so little faith in his choice that they have made her dizzy with programming to the point that she couldn't even remember something that happened in her own bloody state.
Holtz-Eaken also attacked the "arugula middle class." What is that?

Networks have strict editing standards for interview content and they are very specific about not changing the content or meaning or character of an answer. I am quite certain that if they released the unedited version Palin would look even stupider.
