Looks like McCain-land wants to take their defense of Sarah Palin into a new level of paranoia: they are now accusing Katie Couric and CBS News of leaving Palin's strongest moments on the edit-room floor.
The accusation came from McCain's top economic adviser, Douglas Holtz-Eakin just a few minutes ago on Hardball.

CBS edited McCain to make him look better before. If Republicans can provide answers that were edited out, I'd be interested to see them.

If I were Katie/CBS I'd say "Okay, well have it your way. We'll release the entire interview UNEDITED". Then, watch the McCain campaign back peddle at lightning speed. Those were probably her finest moments. Otherwise, they wouldn't have gotten the 2nd round of interviews.
They edited the incoherent sentences together? Boy, they are just asking for CBS to release the whole, uncut thing, aren't they? That won't help! It will just make her look even more ignorant.

Just because Biden's interview answers weren't replayed again and again by members of the news media in stunned disbelief doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Chris had to pull that answer out of him because he knew it wasn't true. McCain's surrogates are totally full of it and everybody knows it by now.

McCain has nowhere to go now but down. He can run away from President Bush, but he can't run away from the Republican Party. The Republicans will be regarded from now on as "the party that wrecked America." Over the weeks ahead, as carnage in the economy and the financial markets ramps up, it will become increasingly clear. It is important that this meme be spread through the internet. I urge all commentators to adopt and spread the idea that the Republicans are "the party that wrecked America." It will work because it is the truth. Use it freely. Just spread the word.
