Sarah Palin Arrives In St. Louis For The Debate (VIDEO)

On the flight from Flagstaff, Arizona to St. Louis, Palin spokesperson Tracey Schmitt said that the Alaska governor is looking forward to tonight's debate, "She is eager to lay out the contrast of her record of executive leadership and Joe Biden's 35 years in the halls of congress."

While in the air, we learned that while running on the McCain ranch on Monday afternoon Palin slipped on some gravel and cut the palm of her right hand. She is wearing a large band-aid on the palm of her hand.

Yesterday, debate prep went all day on the ranch. She spent another day doing mock debates outside with McCain Senior Foreign Policy Advisor Randy Schneumann who "played" the role of Joe Biden. The group broke for dinner at 7:30pm local and her advisors along with her family which include Todd, Willow, Piper and Trig. They ate steaks and twice baked potatoes on picnic tables outside.

Also during the flight, Willow and Piper came to the back of the plane to pass out black licorice and stickers. Willow was wearing a grey T-shirt and jeans while Piper wore a blue sweatshirt that read "Alaska Grown", jeans and missing her two front teeth which apparently is not a new development, but a few months old.

There she is carrying her favorite accessory, Trig Palin. I am sorry for that baby. Why is his mother, with her high heels on, and her daughter and husband empty-handed, carrying that little guy down the stairs from the airplane? Good photo op is the answer that comes to mind. Once again, she exploits her 5-month-old son.

Seems the husband is also hauled around like a prop, since he doesn't seem to help with the kids much, preferring instead to stare off into space while his wife hobbles down airplane steps in high heels with the baby in tow, or letting his very pregnant daughter hold the baby for 1-2 hours, during the republican convention, while he is again staring in space, and again while his little daughter trips around on stage with the tiny infant while he is..... staring off in space.

Have we ever seen Todd "the First Dude" Palin holding his baby? I've seen the youngest daughter holding and "grooming" the baby, and I've seen the oldest daughter holding the baby. Even Sarah Palin holds the child, but not Todd. I'm just curious, because it seems odd.

When my son was an infant, there's no way I would have stood there like a stump and let my wife pack him in her arms down a steep flight of stairs. Looks like the First Dude isn't much of a gentleman. I also guess they must not have things like carriers and baby slings in Alaska.

Then again, my wife wasn't trying to use our child as a photo prop, either.

I've never once seen Toddie carry the baby, or even hold his youngest daughter's hand as she descends the flight of stairs from the airplane for that matter.

I thought it was just me. Why won't he hold his baby? You see the youngest daughter holding the baby (and giving him the old spit shine), and the oldest daughter holding the baby. Sarah wobbles down the steps onto the tarmac in heels and holding the baby. Why isn't Todd ever holding the baby?

Does Palin value education? Let's see, in the month of October, the second month of the school years, she prefers to drag her young children around the country to cheer her on in her frivolous political pursuits instead of leaving them in school with their father or other family members and...her oldest daughter is knocked up and hasn't been in school since before the end of last school year.

Palin is no mother. She let her teenage daughter come home pregnant instead of telling her the facts and that encludes info about birth control. THAT child won't get to go away to school or have music lessons or get even a chance to do what she might want to do for a long time. I thought it was just me but she seem cold and indifferent to the infant, something is missing in her. Who raises the special needs infant at 3AM since the First Doode isn't helping out?. Even new working Moms spent some months home with a new born to bond. What is really important to her beyond her self interest? It's always about "her", not even did she explain how McCain wasn't the same as Bush.. She can't even do that much..

I keep thinking that too. She's always pounding the baby's back, like she's constantly burping him. Not sweetly caressing him, just pat pat pat in a hard impatient manner. Which is sad because he's adorable. But I think all this stress and campaigning is negatively impacting her bonding.

No..you are the only one that has a problem with the way she holds Trig...always patting him in the back, and never holding the back of his head. I saw an earlier picture when he younger and the same thing ...not holding the back of his head. There is something really strange about this baby with special needs and what appears to be the lack of attention from his alleged parents. Bristol seems to have a more maternal bond with Trig. Also, Sarah seems to have no problem giving Trig to Piper, the 7 year old. A very peculiar family...that's scary! Obama-Biden 08!

Does Sarah Palin not look natural holding her little baby? She does not seem to have that natural way a mother has when holding her little one. Now,maybe it is because this little one has special needs, but most babies just naturally curve into their mother's body...Sarah does not seem to feel comfortable holding him. And to give the little one to her youngest daughter to hold! Gosh! For me, only when sitting down would I give a baby to someone that age.
