Palin Debate

Watch video below of Sarah Palin arriving by plane in St. Louis with her family ahead of Thursday night's vice presidential debate.

Here's the press pool report from the airport:

On the flight from Flagstaff, Arizona to St. Louis, Palin spokesperson Tracey Schmitt said that the Alaska governor is looking forward to tonight's debate, "She is eager to lay out the contrast of her record of executive leadership and Joe Biden's 35 years in the halls of congress."

While in the air, we learned that while running on the McCain ranch on Monday afternoon Palin slipped on some gravel and cut the palm of her right hand. She is wearing a large band-aid on the palm of her hand.

Yesterday, debate prep went all day on the ranch. She spent another day doing mock debates outside with McCain Senior Foreign Policy Advisor Randy Schneumann who "played" the role of Joe Biden. The group broke for dinner at 7:30pm local and her advisors along with her family which include Todd, Willow, Piper and Trig. They ate steaks and twice baked potatoes on picnic tables outside.

Also during the flight, Willow and Piper came to the back of the plane to pass out black licorice and stickers. Willow was wearing a grey T-shirt and jeans while Piper wore a blue sweatshirt that read "Alaska Grown", jeans and missing her two front teeth which apparently is not a new development, but a few months old.

Each day I see this Woman I am reminded of McCain's relentless pursuit for absolute power and willingness to do ANYTHING to get into the White House. Sarah Palin should be ashamed of Herself for allowing McCain to use Her Children as "Props" to win an election.

Everything McCain has done has been nothing but a distraction and facade to deflect from His inability to part with his twin George Bush and choosing someone so obviously unqualified as Palin is a perfect example of that.

This is a little bit off topic, but it drives me crazy every time I see it. After five kids, does this woman not have an infant seat? I know you and your infant aren't supposed to fly without one. Every time I see her walking down the stairs holding her son, sometimes nearly under her arm like a football, I feel bad for him. It's her job to keep him safe, not use him as a prop. This isn't a reflection of love and caring, it's careless and without concern for a child who can't do anything to help himself if she falls.

I get the marketing ploy: Joe Six Pack Mom with baby in tow, but we are talking about an empirical nation with an arsenal that could destroy life on earth. No matter how heart warming this video-op can seem, the empowering of mediocrity to such a level, requires more than just "a leap of faith". Perhaps "the rapture" that so many seek, is about to become reality. Yikes!

Change of hair style Sarah? We can't see your ears with your hair hanging all over them.

I wonder who will be whispering sweet nothings in Sarah's ear tonight?

It baffles me....L o u D obbs...isn't he a self-proclaimed independent? You wouldn't know it to listen to him...pontificating about how the liberal media has attacked Palin, that it is "character as sination", that it is "unconscionable"...so raved the mo ron. I would like to understand under what conditions do these people believe it is OK to question a prospective VP candidate's qualifications and ethics??

Are these kids being home schooled?

Right.....now we are to believe that she is a Mom, Governor, VP Candidate....and she home schools her kids?

I read somewhere that Bristol was officially being home schooled and has been since she got "mono" last spring.

I don't get the impression education is that important to Sarah Palin........

Why does she parade her son along when she feels she needs sympathy. After the convention, when she was doing great in the polls you didn't see her with the baby. Now that she thinks it will bring her a little sympathy, he's on her arms. These people are the worst. I guarantee you if her poll numbers were better, Trig would be at home with Bristol his babysitter.

the sad thing is, America will fall for it.

Well did you notice that the hair is down which indicates she will be plugged in this evening. That is a wire can now easily be worn underneath the lowered hair. They should search both participant before they walk on the stage.

Check the band-aid. Don't trust the fact that they felt the need to make a statement about it.

Will someone please give this woman a car seat or something to carry that baby in while she deplanes. It looks so unsafe and if she trips then that is not going to be good. Do they put the baby in a car seat while flying. What the heck is wrong with these people?

I was thinking the same.....she's wearing heels and teetering down the steps. Yet, she does it every time. The baby doesn't look all that natural in her arms.

I was thinking maybe she needs one of those carrying packs to keep him safe.

Why is Palin hauling her whole family around with her for God's sake?

What other candidate is doing that?

How many times do you see the Obama kids dragged out for ordinary campaign stuff?

Exploiting her family for political reasons is seems.

Thos are little kids for God's sake.

Looking for sympathy.

Let wear a wire, Biden still will know how to make her trip up. Look, a wire doesn't guarantee anything. If people see she is stumbling they will know where that wire is. They want to see her without crib notes. No wires, no crib notes, nada. That is the true test of someone who can think on thier feet and respond intelligently. Biden doesn't need crib notes. He already did his homework on this woman and her legacy. He sure as hell knows the Bush legacy. Nah, no wire will help her tonight. she is on her own.
