Palin Debate

Watch video below of Sarah Palin arriving by plane in St. Louis with her family ahead of Thursday night's vice presidential debate.

Here's the press pool report from the airport:

On the flight from Flagstaff, Arizona to St. Louis, Palin spokesperson Tracey Schmitt said that the Alaska governor is looking forward to tonight's debate, "She is eager to lay out the contrast of her record of executive leadership and Joe Biden's 35 years in the halls of congress."

While in the air, we learned that while running on the McCain ranch on Monday afternoon Palin slipped on some gravel and cut the palm of her right hand. She is wearing a large band-aid on the palm of her hand.

Yesterday, debate prep went all day on the ranch. She spent another day doing mock debates outside with McCain Senior Foreign Policy Advisor Randy Schneumann who "played" the role of Joe Biden. The group broke for dinner at 7:30pm local and her advisors along with her family which include Todd, Willow, Piper and Trig. They ate steaks and twice baked potatoes on picnic tables outside.

Also during the flight, Willow and Piper came to the back of the plane to pass out black licorice and stickers. Willow was wearing a grey T-shirt and jeans while Piper wore a blue sweatshirt that read "Alaska Grown", jeans and missing her two front teeth which apparently is not a new development, but a few months old.

They better check her ears for ear phones. I don't trust those people are far as I can throw them.

Just try to imagine her listening to someone talk into her ear while she herself babbles away. Ain't gonna happen. If it does, it'll be even funnier than not having the earpiece. She isn't nearly smart enough to handle it. She'll end up asking the "voice in her ear" to repeat itself and everything will go downhill from there. I can hardly wait.

APPARENTLY GOV. SARAH PALIN FELL WHILE JOGGING AND IS WEARING BANDAGE AROUND HER WRIST. COULD THERE BE A POSSIBILITY THAT SHE IS WEARING A WIRE, OR HAS CHEAT NOTES...DON'T LAUGH, DESPERATE TIMES CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASURES AND I WON'T PUT ANYTHING PAST THE MCCAIN CAMPAIGN...

Watch the video...shakin hands and carrying 'her' baby with NO PROBLEM AND NO BANDAGE. why would she need to wear one at the podium?

Absolutely. Remember W's "bump"? She'll be wired without a doubt. That provides a convenient cover. Sheesh, this is like a bad sitcom cliche.

Isn't it sad that Republicans are such liars and scum that when I see her holding the baby I IMMEDIATELY think, "photo op BS"?

I think the same thing. Perfectly reasonable thought as far as I'm concerned.

I agree. I hope that baby screams it's head off during the debate if she is that stupid to bring an infant. Sorry.. Miss Ifell I can't answer the question the baby needs a bottle... see I can be a Mom and bomb Russia and Putin rearing his head at the same time... see I can multi-task. OMG. I think I feel I little something coming up in my throat... yep.... I'm gonna barf.

The McCain/Palin ticket is attempting to run on 'Country First'. What ever happened to 'Family First'? She's dragging her special needs baby and school aged kids all over the country for her own selfish reasons. I think it's a damn shame...

The sooner Obama/Biden win this thing, the sooner she will be forced to consider putting her family first.

Excuse me...but where in this shot is the frigging bandage she showed later this afternoon that came from a "jogging injury" suffered in Arizona on McCain's "Palintaion"?

I don't see either hand bandaged yet two hours later it's BIG news.

Chris Matthews is smacking down Gov Linda Lingle . He asked her "Do you think Sarah should answer questions that require information to answer" I nearly fell off my chair!

Responsible parents would not let the mother carry the infant down a flight of stairs...IN HEALS!

These are some of the most irresponsible parents i've ever seen!

Why aren't the girls in school?

Where's Bristol, the pregnant and unmarried daughter?

Also if her daughters were in school they could not have helped
their mother prepare her answers for tonight's debate.

You've GOT TO READ this hilarious parody of McCain talking about Palin to Couric about "gotcha journalism":

Unmitigated gall, that's all it is, dragging a 5-month-old infant around the country and parading it in front of cameras, along with children who should be in school. The only thing worse than Palin is ''the American people'' who fall for her transparent antics. Can anyone seriously watch the way this woman behaves and not cringe?

What? A mother should take her infant with her when she can. They were getting off a plane. I know the sight of the infant offends you, but what were they supposed to do? Stuff him in a suitcase so he wouldn't be on camera?

You sound like one of those cranky neighborhood snoops who always acts like she smells something bad. harumph.

My objection is "families are off limits" but she parades them around for photo ops. When's the last time you saw Obama's kids in a photo op?

JulieSA...it was a photo opt! There were plenty of people that could have carried the baby...gosh, it could have been his father (garndfather?). Sorry, but people like you scare me...for I hope there are not as many of you as there are people that are concerned about the future of this country. The excuses and sarcasim coming the Palin followers is unbelievable...just think some may be getting their parenting skills from Palin...what a scray thought!

In practically every photo I've seen of her, she has her hair up. If she has it down at the debate, I smell a rat...at a microphone.

Weeks ago a group of us speculated she would show up with her hair uncharacteristically down. All the better to hide those miniature earpieces. Hope the batteries last longer than the "bug" they found in Karl Rove's Texas office when "Junior" was running for Governor

That video is all anyone who has a brain and puts their family first needs to see to convince John McCain that SHE'S NOT READY!

This poor woman has her hands full!

I don't know who is to blame for her being in this pickle J. McCain for asking her to be on the ticket or her for not having enough sense to say thanks but no thanks.

I say FAMILY FIRST country second.

As a huge feminist, I absolutely believe in a woman's choice of type of life she would like to live. However, I am in total agreement with you on this. I have four small children ranging from 17 months to 6 years and they are the absolutely most important thing in my life (uh, did I say I love my hunny bunny too? If I didn't, make a note of it!), and I am committed to them without fail. She does have her hands full, and my heart did go out to her when I saw her deboarding that plane. I think this is a case of her eyes being bigger than her stomach!
