It was embarrassing! I hear women saying that they were glad she did well because is showed little girls that a woman can compete with the men! It DID NOTHING OF THE SORT! All she showed was that if a woman wants to stand toe to toe with a man she doesn't have to have any substance or intelligence..she just has to look cute and wink! People were scandalized when Hillary Clinton dared to show a minuscule amount of cleavage while making a substantive speech in the Senate, however Sarah Palin is permitted to give a little wink while talking dribble? This is ridiculous! I can't believe she winked! Basically this was her job interview for VP of the US. You do not wink during a job interview. She should be ashamed of her behavior.
the blinking is from her trying to comprehend what she is hearing in her ear prompter and repeat it out loud. Just check the loop of cord off her right shoulder. The former sportscaster must have broken out the headset to relive her glory days on the boob-tube

McCain does that crap all the time... I thought it was just an old-man thing, but obviously it's some kind of attempt at cuteness with both of them. Or for me, creepiness. It's just weird and makes me cringe every time I see it.

Yes, wasn't this awful? So distracting to the viewer, and hard to believe it wasn't irritating to her. I kept willing her to just reach up and brush it out of her eye. Sort of reinforces the Barbie metaphor, she doesn't dare do anything so natural.
Palin's performance was just that, a performance. It was all the illusion of soccer mom and "gosh darns" with no real substance behind it. At one point she was trying to channel Ronnie Raygun with the "there you go again." But the Republicans have nothing to offer except more of the same. I have no belief that Palin even understood how the financial crisis came about. She kept talking about wall street corruption when the primary problem was de-regulation.
Its not an eye lash problem, she had her hair in her eye for like the first 30 minutes or so. I sat glued watching to see how she would get her hair out of the way, but I missed it.
Appears to me to be a software glitch.
McCain was having the same problem with
his left eye last week.
I have heard a rumor that they are going to do a remake of Hee Haw and want Palin to be one of the Hee Haw Honies. All that down home charm makes her a natural.

I commented on this earlier. I noticed while watching the PBS feed. And we wonder how GWB miraculously could put a sentence together during his debates(could it have been that box under his jacket feeding him his lines?????)
I am very surprised this hasn't gotten the attention it deserves. But of course, that team hasn't had any true scrutiny up to this point so far....McCain's medical records anyone????

2.You're trying to be cute_because what you just said had no substance
3.You know what you said _had no substance
4.You're flirting_WITH Americans in this case!
5.You're hiding something_i.e.You're standing behind someone and a friend is directlty in front_you make a false statement_like-YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL_THEN_wink at your friend.The other person can't see you because you're behind them.That spells:

As a kid we winked to "fake" some off or to mislead them. She is playing America for a fool. How in the ell are you going to we winking to foreign leaders as VP. This is very embarrassing to the world. This is trying to sucker you in.
