Sarah Palin has an eye-lash problem:

Update: She also seemed to spend half the debate winking at America. Was she trying to woo us...or pull something over on us?

She clearly belongs back in Alaska where voters there can do with her what they will.

Yesterday, a little old lady approached me in the grocery store, having seen my Obama '08 T-Shirt (which I wear often), and implored me to consider changing my vote. I laughed reflexively, and loudly. (Ok, that was mean, but it WAS a reflex at the absurdity of changing my intended vote.) She muttered something about how great it is to be in America and wandered away. Apparently the prospect of a President Obama scares her ilk more than the prospect of a VP (or, G-d forbid, President) Palin. (Or, for that matter, the unstable phony Sen. McC.) Well, I'm in California, which will vote for Obama/Biden by a clear margin, so a vote here or there makes no difference in this state.

That was the first negative comment that shirt has drawn, Usually it is a smile, a nod, or a supportive conversation.

ResearchGuy, I volunteer for Obama and we look for "code words" a voter will use when they have reservations about Obama, words like "scary" and "there's just something about him"..... what it really means is its because he's black. Don't waste your time.

Probably has early Altzheimers and thinks she's voting for Ronnie

"Oh but I can sit across a dinner table and have a nice girly chat with her". Uhh... AND? Where does that leave millions of Americans who've been buried in Republican healthcare, economic and energy policies?

The 3 winks and a shout out made me CRINGE!!!!

I though she said she doesn't blink? She was pretty much continuously blinking there.

GOOD POINT! Blink-O-Rama.

Seriously, though...I think I may have figured out why Mc selected good ole "folksy" Sarah for a running mate. She was the only one who could use her eye "winks" (as some sort of code for their base) as effectively as Mc!!!

not ready for the international stage...cutesy, folksy, winking, shout outs..what the f**k was this a pep rally, charlie? she's not ready and she lied like her boy johnny the nasty vegas gambler.she is also trying a power grab idea on the powers of the VP. her idea that the worst thing about cheney is his hunting act. does she have stock in halliburton too?she needs to retire to the BIG state of alaska (check that population demographic...not diverse and not that big) and johnny the racist needs to hang it up too. america does not need this kind of leadership...my way or the highway and they are bothso stupid that some backroom committee would be running things...we've just lived through that for 8 years, 2 wars and loads of other disasters

In spite of what some have said about Palin's performance I remain unconvinced. I still saw the same talking in circles, answering questions that weren't asked, ignoring those that were. It was clear from her answer to the question about her "achilles heel" that she doesn't know what "achilles heel" refers to. She left this strange impression that as long as she is smiling and winking and lowering her voice and "seducin' ya" that she is "doin a great job for ya." As if saying nothing is saying something, if it's accompanied by a smile and a wink. I saw the same repeating of certain words, "there", "also" and "there also" in the strangest places. With all those teachers in her family, one would think that one of them would have told her that "also" isn't a coordinating conjunction.

She has a hard time saying "goodbye." She interacted with Biden at least four times after the debate was over. She left the stage, came back, went back to her podium, then went back and talked to him, brought her family over to meet his family, then she came back, said something else to him and finally came back alone and shook his hand again. Meanwhile, McCain couldn't bring himself to even look at Obama once during the whole debate. Maybe she was trying to make up for her complete disregard for Biden's tears as he remembered his wife's and childrens' deaths.

Sorry, SarahP, just heard the best comment this morning: "Biden looked Presidential; Palin looked Mayoral." Your winking and confident manner did not impress me at all.

What is the difference between Sarah Palin and our current President?
Lipstick.

I think she is a woman who is comfortable with the fact that she is attractive and uses it to her advantage albeit in a mildly flirtatious way. People shouldn't beat her up too much because of that. What is more disturbing is her lack of knowledge and utter lack of respect for the truth.

Pretending that something is true does not make it true -to quote "Pretending that we see doesn't give us the sight, pretending that we live doesn't make us alive"

What is disturbing is that she uses "it" to obscure the fact that she lacks knowledge and respect for the truth. What is really disturbing is that at the end of the day, it appears that "it" is the one thing she chooses to fall back on.

That persona, real or adopted, would NOT go over well on the International stage. Foreign leaders would blow her off as the air head she appears to be or else manipulate her unmercifully.

She is, simply, WAY out of her league and all the spin in the world cannot change that simple truth.

I would think that most women would find this entirely insulting. To just play into the stereotype that as long as you wear a short skirt, wink a little and smile prettily that all men will just give you what you want. Is this what we want from the leaders of our country?

Why couldn't Sarah Palin look Jill Biden in the eye after the debate?

My guess, as a woman, is that Jill Biden got a good look at the cold-blooded creature hiding behind that wink, who showed no human reaction to Joe's anguish at remembering his years of single-parenthood, and wanted to spit in her eye.
I know I did.

Because Jill Biden has better credentials to be VP than she does?

Did she pass the commander in chief threshold (mysterious primary metric for measuring Obama) last night? Nope. She sounded like a used car salesman. For all of those who bought her act, vote for her and enjoy your lemon.

I was thinking of a very young and greedy fraudulent real estate saleswoman. The whole act is getting on my nerves. All of the doggonits and youbetchas are transparent, flirty, and immature.
