I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Sarah Palin sure did wink a lot during the debate.

My question is, why? Was she trying to woo America?

Or is she trying to pull something over on us?

Here's some video:

All I remember about her from debate is: winking, and saying "also" and "ya" a bunch of times.

She didn't do much to convince me she's not an air-head dressed up in lip-liner tatoo and a beehive.

She is all style and no substance.

The "can I call you Joe?" at the beginning was only to set up the "say it ain't so Joe" line later. Other than that she never once called him by his first name.

America deserves better.

Good ears legoh...I hadn't thought of that. Scary thing is the depth of calculated spin she, or more likely her handlers, would have to posess if that were true.

My first impression was that that was a trap to try to get JB to call her Sarah rather than gov. Palin.

I agree with you on every point except the "America deserves better." Maybe half of America, or a little more, deserve better, but the people who are still voting for and supporting republicans even when it is against their own best interests, do deserve her, as sad as that is for the rest of us.

I am still stunned at just how many people like this woman, and how easily they are fooled. We may end up with another civil war if things don't change.

America will be winking back at Sarah

* The challenges to troopergate were thrown out of court and the subpeonas were upheld
*Today is the day that she is supposed to reveal her tax returns
*Today is the first day of her attempts to prove that all her botched interviews were flukes and last night's performance however uneven is the direction she is heading

I do not thinking winking at a foreign leader who thinks a woman's place is behind a veil is going to work for her. She will find herself as a target for a fatwa. Gawd us she embaressing.

I imagine that truly accomplished women are a bit pissed at the republicans for choosing a woman like Palin as the VP candidate. She embodies everything bad about the female gender. After the winks I imagined a forked tongue flicking out of Palin's mouth every once in a while.

How right you are! We (accomplished women) are totally p***** and insulted by this woman. How many male politicians have you ever seen wink at their debate audience? None? Wow...imagine that. That SNL skit nailed her when the Couric actor said, "I've noticed that when you get stumped you become more adorable". May have worked on the rubes in Alaska...fortunately the rest of us ain't falling for it.

I was in a huge room of people watching the debate and when she did this, everyone let out a loud, spontaneous groan

When all you got is blah blah blah, yuk yuk yuk . What a Phony. When she said can I call you joe, you just know he's gonna get it. It's like a boss," can I speak to you for a moment". She has all the tools of being a "B" rated movie actor.

Given all the winking and nose crinkling, I thought there was going to be a swimsuit competition. Does she really think that the 100,000 Americans who lost their jobs last month are going to be reassured by cuteness?

The venue was not a bar. Case closed. Winks and drawls to appear cutesy are not necessary. Someone should have told her.

She reverted to her Miss Alaska tactics.

You know, try and flirt with the male judges so they pick you.

However, she forgot there were no judges to take her back to their motel room later.

I was watching the undecided voters last night on CNN and whenever Palin winked or put on her flirty little act her ratings among woman plummeted. Republicans would like you to believe it is because woman are jealous, not so. Woman know other woman, know when they are being conniving or manipulative and I think woman with an ounce of intelligence saw a manipulative woman up there who rides on her good looks. This is not likely to make her popular among woman, especially successful and/or "no nonsense" woman.

With each wink, with each flirty little expression she reminds woman of THAT woman. The woman you wouldn't want to leave your husband alone with, the woman at the cocktail party that feels the need to flirt with every man in the room. So my suggestion is for Palin to keep up the act, I don't think it helps in the long run except to tie up the GOP vote, as in the Greasy Old Pervert vote.

Winking is something people do when they are playing a trick. Think about it.
