Sarah Palin refuses to defend John McCain's record on deregulation.

That's because John McCain did consistently call for and wholeheartedly support deregulation of the banking and finance industry.

That was the single largest cause of the current credit crisis.

John McCain shares in the blame for this, and ther ewas no way Gov Palin could defend him (assuming she even understood what the accusation was)

The other problem I have with Palin ,is the DISRESPECT she showed for OUR CONSTITUION !! We may not approve of what Politicans do /say,but to disrespect this countrys constituion and try to come across as a 'Reformer ' when doing so and end up SOUNDING like She wants to overthrow this countrys Goverment ,WE THE PEOPLE ARE the support for the foundation of this country ,our money funds it ,our VOTES form it and dispite it's faults this Goverment IS OURS. .The campaign slogan she is abideing by is 'Country First' how can one use a solgan that says different from what She says?She speaks as a traitor ,and portrays herself as a loyalist and a rebel ?She's as confused as McCain is .I'd rather have a faulty Goverment than a CONFUSED traitorous Goverment.

What is with this baby thing ? Did anyone see her walking down the airplane( dangerous slick steps) holding her baby with one arm and then passing him off for a child to hold ? Why didn't her husband carry his son? I'll tell you why. Family first, " see, I'm such a good mom ". And 11PM, AGAIN, passing an obvious uncomfortable baby around from person to person. Sorry, I wouldn't subject my child to that type of schedule. If she can't consider her children first, only her career, how is she going to put country first ? We're a country of families.

Thousands agree with you on that observation,now the 'soccer' moms need to wake up and smell the odor of dead fish coming out of Alaska.I thought Palin had her OWN identity ,she showed during the debate that she IS McCains 'Barbie-Bot. She kept looking down at her cue cards ,and winking and totaly disrespected SENATOR Biden ,by calling him 'Joe' while he remained dignified by addressing her with her PROPER Title 'Governor ' .Ok I can see the reasoning that SOME would have for her doing so ,BUT when one holds a Public Office that office has a Title ,such as Mr.Preside­nt ,ect.Some would think he was being a male sexist if he would have said "Please address me by My Title and I will address you by yours" which he did not say, but He did address her by her PROPER Title... Palin showed nothing but her inability to act with the dignity that a person of Public office would demand of ANY public official.S­he showed that she is NOT ready to be V/P let alone President ,which is what she wants in reality ,she showed that when she said "The Palin/McCain" ticket .I'm sorry weather the person is male or female ,RESPECT for anothers Job Title ,is a show of maturity,respect ,dignity and honor .She lost this debate ,regardless of what McCain says or thinks.McC­ain needs to just throw in the surrender flag and give it up.

Just figured it out...

It was a setup! When she asked him right off when they greeted if she could call him "Joe", - that was simply the setup for her later obviously coached and rehearsed line about "Tell me it isn't so - - "Joe"...! It would have been seen as totally disrespectful if she hadn't 1st asked him if she could call him "Joe" (as if she wasn't disrespectful anyway).

She is sooooo coached and calculating, it would almost be laughable, but for the fact that it is totally dismaying that this country has actually gotten to this point where a woman like her could be a viable (DON'T count them out YET...!) candidate for the Vice Presidency of the United States.

I will be even MORE depressed than I was after W. was 1st selected, and then re-elected, if McFailin' gets elected...

The sad thing is she is up there rattling off tarnished euphemisms like spreading freedom and ensuring democracy around the world and here at home we aren't even allowed to properly question or criticize the candidate for the second most powerful position in the country.

Neither Democracy nor Freedom can survive under these conditions. This issue is so much larger than Gov. Palin. We are being taught to vote emotionally without any critical thought towards truthful and logical solutions to the massive and complex issues facing our nation.

We lower the standards at our own peril.

I read online somewhere where a McCain staffer speaking to the press was lowering expectations of Sarah Palin's performance like so many of them did leading up to the VP debate, and the staffer used almost the EXACT WORDS that Sarah Palin used here in this clip.

The staffer said that if Sarah Palin didn't know the answer to a question that she shouldn't be embarrassed about it, that she should just tell the American people that "she's a Washington outsider" and that she's a "reformer" and that she "shook thinks up back in Alaska". Sarah Palin totally blew off this question and went back to these talking points. And because the McCain campaign was successful in BULLYING Gwen Ifill by casting doubt all over her, in order for Gwen to handle Gov. Palin with kid gloves, there weren't any follow up questions to keep Gov. Palin on point.

Score 1 for the sleazy, we don't play fair McCain campaign.

What I noted in the Palin response to the Vice Presidents duties and responcibilites is that she feels as though the Constitution gives her even mor power then Dick Cheyney has already usurped.

It is a frightening look into what her powers would be. She mentioned often that her roll will be that of a "REFORMER". She actually is taking on the roll of the behind the scene's Right Wing Enforcer, shaping policies that harmonize with the Religious Right and their counter parts, now that is frightning.

Sarah is a blank slate in which the Right leaning Republlican Party can complete their mission.

There is only so much information you can cram into an automaton before it begins to overload and the androids eyes start twitching and the voice starts speaking incoherently.

Does anyone really have a better understanding of what Sarah is all about, intellectually??

We certainly heard the voice of Cheney's handlers in her talking points over and over, giving us key lines from their hero Reagan, like; "There you go again Joe" and a "shining city upon a hill."

But did we really learn anything about the woman except she has an ability to repeat well rehearsed lines and read a speech off the teleprompter??

What we need to see is the governor being grilled on Meet The Press or any of the Sunday political talk shows and find out what this woman really thinks without cliff notes to guide her.

But I think she has already indicated that this will never happen and said she plans to speak directly to the people "unfiltered" by the press, which interprets as I ain't talkin to no dam press, you betcha.

Rachel and Keith have extended an invitation for her appearance on either of their shows. How much would we love to see that? She couldn't pull the gender or race bias with Rachel, although it would be such an uneven match of brain power and sincerity that it could be hard to watch.

We absolutely know waht she is about. She is a tool in which the Republican Party will use to overturn Roe vs Wade and to stack the deck full of judges that will lead us to a one party rule because of the Justices that will be placed in key positions.

Palin's track record has been a lot easier to find about since she came on to the national stage, and it's just as bad as JMcC's record. At that point in the debate, it was her responsibility to support her man, the Maverick McCain. Maybe she is trying to set herself up for 2012... ha! She'll be lucky if she gets to go back to AK. A state judge up there just ruled the investigation into her power play of firing the police chief would continue.
