Sarah Palin Won't Defend John McCain, Won't Answer Question
Sarah Palin refuses to defend John McCain's record on deregulation.
It's almost like she thinks she's running for 2012.

Doesn't Palin realize that winking is a visual code for "I'm lying"?
Here's an example:
I think Sarah Palin is qualified to lead the country (wink).
I love, love Joe, He just smiled - I Love that man!! A great man and a well Respected foreign leader around the world!!!

He was absolutely perfect tonight. Didn't miss a beat, didn't hit one bad note and we spoke about understanding single parents he showed America a side of him I've never seen. Terrific.
Palin memorised her talk well but she is still not qualified ,of course on fair and balanced fox she won by 80 odd %, biden 12% , they are just trying to kid themselves. cloud cuckoo land is filled with repubs and fox spin doctors .

I was a tad disappointed by Gwen. The criticisms got to her. She did not compel Palin stick to the answers.
Palin was manipulating the answers and never was straight shooting. She sounded like a windup doll. "I love Mccain, I love my country". She made me hurl.
Is Palin ready to lead!! Yes, she can lead a herd of Moose.
You have to remember though, the moderators job is to ask the questions, it's up to the debater to answer them well, and specifically-or not as the case may be. The moderator can't "go after" any one...it's a debate, not an inquisition.
I too was disappointed in Gwen.
Palin did not debate She merely delivered her prepared remarks.
Considering her depth and grasp of policy, that was about all one could expect . . . never ANSWERED any questions . . . .
And Gwen Ifill let her do it.....she weaseled her way out of EVERY tough question. When will everyone stop treating this woman with kid gloves?
You're right. I shouldn't be surprised. But it doesn't stop it from inducing my gag reflex.
I see what you are saying about Ifill but in so many ways it's my responsibility to listen to the candidates and draw my conclusions. I have listened to pundits tell me what I need to think or what a candidate meant to say. The media has really sold the american public short in handling McCain. He tells them they gotcha reporters or sexist and they spend time trying to proof him wrong...at the expense of giving full details about all the candidates.
It was up to Palin to answer the questions tonight. Sure Ifill could have called Palin on being nonresponsive but if that's all Palin's got then there's no blood in that turnip. Palin spent most of the debate dodging questions. In my opinion, nothing Ifill could ask or say would sway my thinking because I concluded that Palin didn't know the answers. Ifill could have asked 12 times and the response would have been the same...nonresponsive. Seriously, it's up to the American people to listen to what Palin is not saying even if the press is treating her with kid gloves. We are learning enough now to form a better opinion about who Palin really is.
I thought that she spent a lot of time speaking the folks back home in Alaska. She almost sounded like she was running for Governor of Alaska. I think she realizes that they've lost and she will return in a few weeks to lower ratings as a bit of a laughingstock.
And maybe an impeachment hearing. Not only are the Alaskans upset over Troopergate, they're even more upset that the McCain campaign is running the state of Alaska while she's off running for John McCain's cheerleader.
Talking about her accomplishments as governor of Alaska (real or percieved), is Palin's comfort zone.
Sarah Palin stepped on that stage to be Ronald Reagan. She set up the audience with under-expectations then she took a double-shot of optimism to overcome a feeble grasps of facts. Governor Palin pitched directly to the electorate; most of whom won't notice that she could not give a straight answer to a single question without regurgitating obvious lies. The only serious question is: "How did it play in Peoria?"
I'm from Peoria and it ain't playing with me!
I'm not from Peoria, and it didn't play with me either, in fact the insta polls show it didn't play with the majority of Americans.
What the Republicans don't yet understand is that things have changed and voters are paying attention and are not as easily fooled.
Had the moderator insisted that Palin answer the questions posed to both candidates than we would not have seen Palin constantly reaching for talking points and promoting herself. There would have been dead silence. All we got was yap, yap, yap.
She makes be positively ill. She had no right to accept the VP spot. She is unpatriotic.
I constantly represented on blog post after post that it would be to the UTTER AND COMPLETE disadvantage of the Obama camp to allow the Republicans promote of underestimating Sarah Plain.
Again, despite all the responses of the know it alls who sometimes make outlandish comments on this site, and who do not represent views supporting the interests of the Democratic party AND who seem to take great joy in spewing emotionally charged drivel which have no strategic oomph, I have maintained my POSITION AND I WAS RIGHT!
The bar was set VERY low AND She is a fairly good debater, even though she "lost" the debate because she is uninformed and semi-illiterate, she still managed to look good, raise a few poll numbers, and so in some way, she has won.
It does not behoove Democrats to be carried away with the Republican spin machine. They allowed her to be maligned and made the main stream press out to be demons and then shocked everyone by making her cram stuff to the wazoo. As EXPECTED!!
It was a mess. But a good lesson was learned. I will not suffer empty and asinine responses gladly on here. There is too much at stake to tolerate the rants of some polarized and unthinking computer inbred supposed "supporter!!
If you are an Obama supporter you must learn to think like the Rove camp i.e. "What could be the reason for this new drama"
Her debate performance was all form over substance and not much of that. Anyone who was impressed with it wasn't looking for much. The question -- WHO CHOSE THE BEST VP?
The answer -- BARACK OBAMA.
SP admitted that she doesn't know much because she's only been at this for 5 weeks.
Not what anyone should be looking for from a second in command.
I refuse to think like Rove, isn't that what we pay others to do with our donations? aqyway, I watched her debates in Alaska, she was slick and I think you're right, it would have been helpful to get those out. But I was just so impressed with Joe Biden, he exceeded all my expectations and they were pretty high. She dodged a bullet and he won votes.
I concur completely. But to be honest this debate will help Obama more than it will staunch McCain's bleeding.
SHE DID NOT COME CLOSE TO WINNING......NEXT!
looks like she doesn't answer to much but the Troopergate investigation won't be stopped as she and McCain hoped. The judge says it will continue. He ruled today to go forward with it.

My initial impression of her weeks ago was that she was just like the nasty head cheerleader in high school who never had anything nice to say to anyone and constantly had to put other people down. Yeah she got some zingers in.....but she really just needs to grow up. The thing that is ironic is that people have talked up and down about how Biden couldn't appear to be talking down to her. She spent 98% of that debate having the nerve to backhandedly thump her chest and talk down to Biden.....and somehow its OK coming from her? This woman gets no privileges in my book and she takes them all over the place.
Not al cheerleaders are dumb! Just so you know. Some are doctors and lawyers!
More empty rhetoric without any substance. There are too many serious issues going on right now for her to strut around on the national debate stage throwing around cutesy, down-home folksy talk with the occasional wink. Frankly, it made me disgusted that any American would actually buy into this crap!
I am so sick of the lies and emphasis on appearances over the issues!!
