Sarah Palin Won't Defend John McCain, Won't Answer Question
Sarah Palin refuses to defend John McCain's record on deregulation.
It's almost like she thinks she's running for 2012.

As they SAID ON SATURDAY NIGHT, "Are you trying to be cute and adorable?"
The "wide open smile, the winking, the 'cute' phases, and the unprofessional tone" are NOT what we NEED IN A PRESIDENT!
I cannot imagine foreign leaders being impressed with such TRICKS!
You nailed it. It was a disgusting performance. They should have let Biden be Biden.
don't you mean VICE president???
Why should she answer what she doesn't want to?
Cheney's her mentor.
And where is HE, by the way?
Joe's right....Cheney's dangerous (at least for another 109 days)
CHENEY IS COUNTING THE MONEY HE MADE WHILE BEING VP. HIS HALLIBURTON STOCK OPTIONS ARE UP WELL OVER 4000%. DESPITE SANCTIONS, HALLIBURTON HAS MULTI-YEAR, MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR CONTRACTS WITH IRAN TO RENOVATE OLD OIL REFINERIES AND BUILD NEW ONES SINCE 2005. A DEFINITE CONFLICT OF INTEREST!!!
we will have 32 days until election day Nov4, the negative ads will be coming out in full force! Be prepared and "Stay the Course"
there is something behind that folksey charm that bothers me...no scares me... the song borderline comes to mind
Lou Grant Sums Up the VP Debate

CNN
51% for BIDEN
36% for PALIN
That would be MY OPINION! Biden with a MAJORITY.
Based on everyone's expectations it is amazing she got 36%!
The BASE CONSERVATIVES ARE RELIEVED but that is all!
I doubt anyone else was swayed!
She was prepared and had fairly good talking notes, but she did not PROVE she is Presidential Material.
Well, before going in the debate I said the polls showed she got 37% thinking she is ready to be President, so the number is still almost the same afterwards! DON'T GAMBLE YOUR CHILDREN"S FUTURE WITH McCAIN-PALIN'S RECKLESS JUDGMENT, LIES, BIGOTRY, FAKE FAMILY VALUES, SECRECY, CRONYISM.
She delivered a cut-up speech, much like the one at the convention, except with breaks for other people to say things, most of which she ignored.
So, you don't expect a big jump in the polls?
During the debate, our candidate for vice president of these United States has not answered the questions of the moderator, talked only about what she wanted to talk about (energy) and insulted her opponent with a smile on her face. I would like to see someone try that at a job interview. "I don't want to answer the question you gave me, but I would like to say the same thing I just said, only in a different way."
We are in the middle of the biggest financial crisis we have ever faced and at the end of her non stellar, lackluster performance, she has the nerve to GIVE A SHOUT OUT!?
Let's be honest here. Any reasonably bright college sophomore could have done at least as well as Palin did in the debate had he or she received the same intensive drilling Palin received--maybe not as poised, but certainly as informed.
For Palin, this debate saved herself -- for the moment. She didn't make the case for McCain. All she did was keep going back to the energy comfort zone and kept saying maverick this, maverick that.
As for Biden, he not only reaffirmed Barack's case, but tore down towards the end the media-constructed "maverick" image of McCain. That was his job, to focus on McCain. For people who are undecided, they saw 2 presidents for the price of one.
I also like the criminal element Biden put on the current administration about the role of the VP. He really alerted people that Cheney is a very dangerous man who broke the law. I'd gather that that statement scared the current administration a little more. They now know that Biden and Obama intend to seek justice for what they have done to America.
Great debate. The momentum is still with Obama, so get ready folks for the most negative month you have ever seen.
I think 95% of the political punditry is completely full of s**t? If you didn't watch this debate tonight, and listened to the pundits, you would think that Sarah Palin passed her first major test with flying colors. But you would actually be best served asking your co-workers tomorrow what they thought, and not rely on the trained circus animals on tv. Sarah Palin just survived, and in my eyes that means nothing. I think Sarah completely disregarded the debate process tonite, and actually tried to make a case why she should run in 2012. She disregarded question after question, carefully falling back to her stuffed talking points and comfort zone. I thought Joe Biden was masterful in not making her look like a complete idiot when he could have, her grasp of foreign policy issues was laughable, and answered nothing when asked about Pakistan and it's relevance in the Middle East. The American people were robbed tonight, because those vampires on the right set the bar so low for the most unqualified VP candidate in American political history...Joe, was slick and polished tonight.
PALIN WAS GIVEN EVERY ADVANTAGE...AND STILL LOST. THIS WOMAN IS ENTIRELY UNCONVINCING...ON ANY SUBJECT.
Next to Biden's statement about being a single father, I think his best moment was when he stated that
McCain was not a maverick when it came to domestic issues. I think Obama needs borrow that message for his next debate (especially when it comes to the economy).
Sarah was visibly shaken a few times. She had few answers and was no match for Joe Biden. He was amazing. He was on point, polite, direct, answered the questions clearly. Sarah went to her go to answers several times, as instructed.
I feel vindicated. I have said all week that Pal just needed to relax. I thought the PBS commentator said it best. She tried to be "wonky" on Couric. That's really not her.
Kudos to Mac. They obviously got her to find her center and her strengths.
And this is one woman in the conservative world we're going to see a lot of, regardless of the outcome.
And Biden didn't gaffe! LOL* He even managed to remember that they are for clean coal. :)
Something that really bothered me is that a few times Sara implied that she and Todd were middle class
which also infers that she understands the concerns and needs of the middle class. I read today that their net worth is over a million. Now am i mistaken but i think that puts them above the middle class guidelines. i think it's an insult to the true hardworking middle class people.
No, they are actually POOR. REMEMBER? MCCain doesn't think you are middle class unless you earn 5 Million a year - yup, FIVE MILLION ( saddleback/rock? forum)
