Sarah Palin Won't Defend John McCain, Won't Answer Question
Sarah Palin refuses to defend John McCain's record on deregulation.
It's almost like she thinks she's running for 2012.

The people get it. The pundits and MSM called the first debate wrong and they blew this one.
The polls are correct.
McCain a "Reformer"? Get real - KEATING FIVE, heard of it?
And in case you forgot...
Bush = REPUBLICAN
McCain = REPUBLICAN
McCain voted 90% WITH Bush
Why is that so hard for so many Republicans to understand? Are they stupid or ignorant - or both? sheesh.
She can not defend McFlipFlop's De-Regulation RECORD since he HAS ZERO!
McC is therefore a leader with the Bush Administration in CREATING THE MOST CORRUPT MARKETS IN OUR HISTORY!
Instead Palin switches to TAXES and NEGLECTS to say her team wants to GIVE THE WALL STREET AND THE RICH ANOTHER $300 BILLION IN TAX CUTS.
Biden mentioned the $300 Billion I think ONCE, but repeated the $4 Billion to BIG OIL several times.
I think the $300 Billion for the RICH is more Powerful and HE SHOULD QUOTE THAT MORE IN FUTURE SPEECHES!
I don't know if any of the pundits want to consider this in analyzing the debate, but every time Palin spoke, my dog started munching his nether regions. Either she was scoring points with him, or he needs to be wormed.
Or her voice to him parodied the feeling of having worms.
OMG....so did our dog !!!....we were gonna' call the vet in the morning!
What a relief to know it wasn't just us !
The big debate moment to me: Palin's "Joe 6pack" phrase, it says so much about her mentality.
1. What a sexist comment.
Do only guys drink? What about Josephine 6pack? It is okay/proper for a guy to drink a 6pack but not a gal? It is a fascinating turn of phrase.
2. I guess she thinks everybody likes to chug down a full 6pack at the end of the day (Like her buddies in Alaska?). Does she really think the average Joe/Josephine is a problem drinker?
National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism - What is a Safe Level of Drinking?
Most adults can drink moderate amounts of alcohol -- up to two drinks per day for men and one drink per day for women and older people -- and avoid alcohol-related problems. (One drink equals one 12-ounce bottle of beer ....).
3. A warning for anyone who does chug a 6pack per day:
Daily Six-Pack Drinker Wants License Back
LEBANON, Pa. (AP) - A man who lost his driving privileges after his doctor reported to police that he drank a six-pack of beer a day is taking his fight to a higher court. ...
A ... judge upheld the decision, but ruled that Emerich may obtain restricted driving privileges as long as he uses a device that tests his blood-alcohol content before starting his car.
Palin basically just read out the speech that had been written down on those sheets she kept flipping over. She paused between paragraphs to allow Ifill to ask a question, and then continued on to the next paragraph.
Was there a psychiatrist in the audience? I think there was someone with bipolar disorder on the debate stage and it's not Joe Biden.
Bingo - that is why she had NO REACTION to Joe Biden's story about his wife and daughter dying and him almost losing his sons. ...Bipolar makes sense for she went right into a spill with no acknowledgement of the man coming to tears - HEARTLESS!
Oh good grief.....
I'm no fan, but I suspect that Sarah Palin was on the verge of panic, most of the time. She'd have been hyperfocussing on GETTING THROUGH the debate. At times like that, empathy doesn't tend to happen easily.
Hey, people with psychiatric disorders who take their medications [I'm not referring to Gov. Palin here] are still eligible for some public offices. Depression, perhaps? Are you calling Gov. Palin a schizophrenic or a manic depressive? How far have YOU gotten in life, without such medications? Which State are you Governor of? What elected political offices have you held, AMoment? Cheap shots deserve to be reminded that for the finger you're pointing away from yourself, that there are three other fingers of yours pointing back at you—assuming your pointing hand has all its fingers. But I still wouldn't hold that against you. It seems to be funny these days to demonize those you fear, or don't understand, throwing the almighty PSYCHIATRIC ILLNESS card onto the table for consideration, using a mix of innuendo and half-truths to somehow emotionally make a point. But logic should be able to stand on its own, without smilies, LOL or WTF! appended to all your communications to tell us when you're serious or not.
I knew she would. When she was on Charlie Rose in 2007, that was what she kept bringing the conversation back to. It is a topic of conversation very much in her comfort zone.
In other news, Biden was sooooooo Great tonight!!!
Obama/Biden '08
Keep HOPE alive
Palin has one topic only Energy

Mac isn't presenting a trillion dollars of new spending.
It's pretty simple.
McCain's campaign has reduced the MSM to being irrelevant to covering politics. Gwen's wings were clipped becasue of her book and the McCain campaign used it to their advantage to pressure her to not be tough.
Having all these pundits spinning that she did well only tells corporate MSM heads that they really do not need competent people in the newsroom as any trained monkey will do. How would Tom Brokaw react if Palin said to him, "well I'm not going to ask that question but I'm going to talk about something else instead," I think he would swallow the marbles that he keeps in his mouth.
The debate was a joke and a disgrace to the American people.
Gwen only cut Pal off once. She handled it well. Given her own mistake in not informing the election committee, she conducted the interview fairly.
I thought the questions were very fair-handed.
I agreed with the commentator on PBS who said, given this year, it's a shame we're only going to get one VP debate.
That was substantive, energetic, and really good.
Hi, PumaAnn. I only saw the visuals from the debate, seeing the questions printed on the CNN screen, and occasionally seeing the audience response graph-o-meter [?] while I was catching up on e-mails and in writing an entry for my own current affairs blog.
You seem way out-numbered over here at the HP After-Hours Club, in your assessment of what went down tonight. I will have to read the transcript and see some re-run coverage a bit later. At the moment, I invite you to my blog, http://mus
I cried when Biden got emotional about losing his wife and daughter. Far too many times we focus on women and the hardship they go through as parents and we sometimes forget that men also are parents.
That was Joe's best moment. I agree.
He was authentic in that moment.
I too, got choked up, but I think Joe was authentic for more than just that moment.
I am glad that he brought this up to . . . . . Sarah Palin's mantra that she understands the issues of the middle class is a fraudulent statement in itself.
Having five children, is not equivalent with being among the middle class, like apples are different from oranges. It is an achievement, or an affliction, depending on your circumstances and perspective, that most Americans don't directly engage these days. What is it? 2.4 children per family? My wife and I have three, and we're definitely lower-middle class by definition of income, to this point in time.
Gov. Palin was the mayor of Wasilla, a smaller city that would feel small-town to a lot of Americans, where she probably showed up in blue jeans or jean skirts [I don't know!] on a fairly regular basis in the grocery store, tooling around in an all-wheel-drive vehicle [again, I'm presuming, based on the geography there]. Other people can probably vouch for this, that Gov./Mayor
I will restate this point in a more forceful way, on my own blog, http://mus
Listening to Sarah Palin for 5 minutes is like wiping yourself with one-ply toilet paper. She's just not up to the job.
Conclusion of PBS commentators: She clearly established that she deserves to be on this ticket.
Frankly, given her press?
That's a home run.
And you thought that was a compliment? lol.
So it's a home run because they moved the fence up to the infield?? She was a broken record the whole night ... and the Maverick had his wings clipped by Biden. Couldn't agree with Cactusgal more, listening to her left me feeling like I got chaffed by cheap tp ...
OK....so she's on the ticket....
She STILL is not qualified to be a heartbeat away.
PERIOD.
Why don't you use the other side? Doesn't that make it two-ply? [It's late, I'm sober, so don't forgive me.]
Palin has lost the campaign for McCain because she is as e.v.i.l as McCain is. There is no difference between them. They love to attack, tell lies, and be mean. Neither one can say anything nice about their opponents ever. What does that tell you?
It tells you that you have two people who have no LOVE between them to share with others. They are selfish, cold, rude, disrespectful, liars, and outright bullsh__ters. Why would Americans want them to lead us?
That is the question we all need to answer!
I'm sorry . . . I am slightly disappointed with this debate. Ifill should have called Sarah Palin out for not answering the questions. Talk about double standards.
At least she let Biden do it a couple of times. It just brought into clearer focus that she was generalizing and repeating herself while he was actually speaking facts and answerin questions
