Last month, the McCain campaign accused Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) of being "disrespectful" and sexist for calling Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) "attractive." Will it similarly slam National Review's Rich Lowry, who praised Palin's sex appeal to male viewers?

I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America.

How very ironic, that hard line neo-cons are fawning over the good looks of a real-life, runner-up beauty queen. Their last tenuous grasp on reality is over the good looks of a 44 year old who believes in witches, thinks she has foreign policy experience because she lives in Alaska, and favors the rights of rapists over the rights of those who have been raped.

If someone had written a novel with this theme last year, right wing pundits would have been howling about slander. What seemed like an absurdity yesterday, is today's reality.

It seems inevitable, that the more the right-wing of American politics acts out their world view, the more main stream America will turn against them. They have bullyied and yelled out of their party anyone with common sense and a sense of shame, and now we are left with McCain and Palin.

Gosh, reading these comments reminds me of how much the extreme left wing and extreme right wing have in common. How is Lowry's comment about Sarah Palin any different from Chris Matthews adoring remark about Obama? I believe Matthews said that listening to Obama speak sent tingles up his leg.

I just check in here now and then to see if anything has changed. Nope. Same old mindlessly offensive comments revealing the true character of Mr. Obama's wild-eyed supporters.
