Collectively holding its nose but voting yes anyhow, the House of Representatives has taken final action on a revised $700-billion financial bailout package for the nation's financial markets, sending it to President George W. Bush for his signature.

The action occurred on a 263-171 vote early Friday afternoon, with Democrats supporting the measure 172-63 and Republicans against it by a slim 91-108.

Illinois' House delegation split 13-6 in favor of the bill, with GOP Rep. Judy Biggert of Hinsdale and Chicago Democrats Jesse Jackson Jr. and Bobbie Rush switching from "no" votes on Monday to "yes" votes on Friday.

Voting "yes" for the second time were Melissa Bean, D-Barrington; Danny Davis, D-Chicago; Rahm Emmanuel, D-Chicago; Bill Foster, R-Batavia; Luis Gutierrez, D-Chicago; Phil Hare, D-Rock Island; Mark Kirk, R-Highland Park; Ray LaHood, R-Peoria, and Jan Schakowsky, D-Evanston.

In addition, Jerry Weller, Republican of Morris, voted "yes" after not voting on Monday.
