I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can't be learned; it's either something you have or you don't, and man, she's got it.

Palin played the sex card, and it hasn't been the first time she did it. It is inappropriate for a VP of the U.S. to use sexuality to get their way. It is demeaning to women and all Americans to do so.

Sarah Palin still has that beauty-pageant menality, that tools to win include using your sexuality, flirting with the judges, and blabbering incoherently when asked questions.

Have you seen the videos of the Palin beauty pageant? She looked good in a bathing suit, but the performance part--OMG, my ears will be burned for life. She played the flute, a very, very simple song (like you learn when you first start flute), and she was excruciatingly horrible at it.

That is what she's tryng to sell the American people now: looks, sex, but no experience, knowledge, or proficiency in performing the job of VP of the U.S.

Sarah Palin's skill set may have been okay for a beauty pageant when she was 18, but not for VP of the U.S.

The problem is not the winking it's that she has no knowledge about foreign policy. She will not do interviews with the media because they asked her question which she cannot answer. McCain placed her in this position as a gimmick and it back fired.

McCain could have nominated many highly qualified women to be his VP, but he chose the least qualified for reasons that he will have to wonder about for the rest of his life.

McCain is playing a game with women and I do think MOST women will see through this cheap trick.

All of the media say lukewarm stuff like "Well, she didn't make any mistakes." But behind closed doors? Forget her lack of knowledge, thoughtfulness, or reflection; her high school beauty queen persona alone is inadequate for a Vice President. Her cutesy populist image works for the state senate, but nationally she is WAY out of her depth. "Gottcha" questions are part of the job description. She didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was, but every ordinary commentator on TV could say, "Well, Charlie, which Bush Doctrine do you mean? Is it the one about spreading democracy throughout the Middle East or the one about stem cells or the one about ....."


And why doesn't ANYBODY in the mainstream media (does that include Fox, by the way, since it is supposedly so popular?) call her on style and manner and not just substance. Just imagine putting her one-on-one with ANY other world leader. Putin across the table from Sarah is a snake calmly waiting to strangle the bunny rabbit. ANY broadcast or print news journalist (or Hillary for god's sake) would perform better than little Sarah. Her election would set the world to smirking. Is hers the image of the United States that we want to project to the world? When they take that picture at the G8 summit in the future, how does she look next to Merkel or Zarkosy or any other WORLD leader? The mind boggles.
