I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can't be learned; it's either something you have or you don't, and man, she's got it.

Liberace used to wink at the camera when he was on TV back in the '50s. It's not really charming. It's phony, pandering and ultimately pretty nauseating, and that's the same reaction I had when SP winked at me last night. STOP! DEAR GOD, PLEASE STOP!

I’m assuming Mr. Lowry, a first-rate intellect, is pulling our collective legs, and not that socially repressed (turn off the TV, man, and go on a date!). Am I so jaded as to be the only one in America who thinks that a “winker” is most often a crass, ingratiating, patronizing, duplicitous, manipulative huckster, a phony, a shill, a panderer, a vacuum cleaner salesman, that guy on TV that says “Try my product”? Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that she has no warm contact with the "first dude"? They never seem to touch or hold hands like the Obamas do and following the debate Senator Biden gave his wife and daughters big hugs but no such behavior from the ice lady!

Honestly I didn't know she winked just looks like constipation to me from being so conservative. Honestly not only is she not hot but would probably be the most boring lay ever.
