I Like ItI Don’t Like It

According to a Nielsen focus group of undecided voters in Las Vegas, one of Joe Biden's best moments of the debate -- when he talked about ending the war in Iraq -- was also one of Sarah Palin's worst, when she accused Biden of waving "the white flag of surrender" in Iraq.

Watch as the dial meter soars for Biden, and plunges for Palin.

The Nielsen group results were broadcast on CBS. CNN's dial meter also yielded the same results.

No, Sarah Palin was not the train wreck Americans tuned in to see last night in the sense that she wasn't given any "gotcha" questions such as naming a newspaper or debriefing us on Russia's maritime border. She simply took a crash course in the GOP play book. Speak loudly, boldly, use empty platitudes and buzz words that espouse your superior level of patriotism and "common folk" appeal while distorting the facts if not flat out lying. She also followed the Rovian tip, don't paint yourself into a corner by answering a direct question or giving the moderator any real consideration legitimacy. But what bothered me was the contemptible smirk that she, McCain and Bush share every time their opponent counters with the truth. Americans can no longer afford to be duped by people who have no empathy for their situation and ransom our futures with their own self-congratulatory marketing slogans. These people are not mavericks or outsiders and they are certainly anything but reformers.

Palin's performance was not very good. She was reciting talking points, and not very well.

"...mavrick, reformer, nuculer, also,,,mavrick, reformer, nuculer, also...mavrick, reformer, nuculer, also...mavrick, reformer, nuculer, also...."

sarah palin is a human sized pull-string doll. pull the string, "john mccain is a maverick!" pull it again, "barack obama will raise your taxes!" she had no coherent response which was her own. she did prove one thing. she is great at memoring the talking points, but independents saw through it. she spoke without conviction or passion. she didn't literally fall on her face, but i don't believe she did as well as everyone else thinks.

Palin looks so unpresidential, it's not even funny, she had many times stated things that is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum of McCain's policies> Is it she does not get it or she disagrees, i think she does not get it as she seems to not get anything at all.

remember that today is obama's 16th wedding anniversary, so please jon me in donating $16 today to his campaign, particularly when we hear that these stinking republicans raised 60 million dollars from their rich friends so they can keep their assaults on the middle class.

Vote no to mccain and all his cronies

One thing I don't understand is McCain-Palin kept hamper about the surge success and no one correct them, but didn't the American casuaties dropped even before the surge began? It was a success due to the US payment to the opponent members for NOT fighting against the government.
DON'T GAMBLE YOUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE WITH McCAIN-PALIN'S RECKLESS JUDGMENT, LIES, BIGOTRY, FAKE FAMILY VALUES, SECRECY, CRONYISM

How many different ways are we forced to say that it is frightening to think of Sarah Palin as the captain of our ship.

Let's say it together: nyu-clee-arr

NOT: nyu-queue-lurrr...

I've said it once before, but that was the MOST annoying word she said, to me.

It was a direct link back to our current POTUS.

Already on the verge of hysterical laughter at her brazen cluelessness, I ran out of the living room screaming (yes, literally) the first time I heard her say that.

she tried coming off as folksy, one of us. instead to me, and i tried to have an open mind, she used alot of 'beauty queen talk' where someone takes a bunch of buzz words, like maverick, taxes, health care and trys to make cohert sentences. a number of times i asked myself what the heck was she talking about. did she tank no, but she obviously lost. oh yeah stop winking at us, that is not presidential

"stop winking at us, that is not presidential": Agree wholeheartedly! In fact, I found it so cheap that a VP candidate still keeps her small town manner in wooing voters by the girl-next-door-familiarity. Yuk! Imagine she does that to Iran's or Russia's leaders! I want a respectable woman to represent our country on the world stage, not these cheap manner from a soccer mom.

She doesn't care.
Any time someone can say with a straight face that it's time to allow Joe and Josephine Six-pack try their hand at this vice-presidential thing......
I want a brilliant, elite, educated, well-traveled, experienced, person as my president and vice president.
I don't want to feel familiar or comfortable enough to slap them on the back or have a beer with them, to scratch or belch in their presence.
I don't want to feel comfortable enough to invite them over for dinner.
I want to know my president can confidently navigate through situations I have no clue how to handle.
My president and vp must know far more than I do.
My president must understand the gravity of the responsibilities he or she assume when they are president.
Above all, my president must respect me enough to talk to me like an adult.
Anything less will not get my vote.

I thought that Gov. Palin did herself a disservice with her use of frequent bubbling, winking, smiing at inappropriate times -- she seemed to be too obvious in begging for the American public's approval. I thought at times that I was watching an old Betty Boop cartoon clip or an early Shirley Temple performance -- rather than focus on factual content and credibility and appearing Presidential, she scared me with what looked like very rehearsed manipulation that was rather juvenile and insulting to one's intelligence. I am a middle-aged, moderate conservative who did not think Palin came across as capable of the Vice Presidency (much less Presidency), as she appeared to be, this time, well-rehearsed, but still all about "form without content," as she was in the earlier Couric interview. Joe Biden, on the other hand, impressed me with his obvious command of the questions that were asked and with presenting himself as solidly experienced and knowledgeable in national defense and foreign affairs.

I thought the same thing, she reminded me of a cartoon character. I was exahausted watching her winking, blinking, wiggeling and gosh darnets.

Sarah Palin is like the pretty girl in the office who got the promotion by wearing low cut blouses and flirting with the boss. That is why most women dislike her.

Oh yah, you betcha. Can anyone explain why Palin's accent sounds like she was a co-star in "Fargo"?

Why does she think the Iraqui government cannot 'govern its people'. Is this something new?
