Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno Crashes Paris Fashion Show

British Vogue reports Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno crashed Stella McCartney's fashion show in Paris on Thursday for his upcoming film - while sucking on a tampon:

Sacha Baron Cohen's alter ego Bruno is at it again in Paris - this morning making a very conspicuous appearance on the second row of the Stella McCartney show.

With his red thong clearly visible above his jeans, the comedian - who was virtually unrecognisable in a flamboyant leather gilet, with his slicked-down hair dyed blonde and brown - sucked Tampax, clapped along to the music and generally disgruntled the front row by continually pushing aside those sitting in front of him for a better look at the models.

While Baron Cohen did his best to steal the limelight, however, McCartney's girls (in delicious roomy knits with a touch of the Eighties about them) held their own - and won a lone standing ovation from their most eccentric, and possibly biggest, new fan.

On Friday he was photographed being escorted out of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's show after getting up on the runway.

Last week Cohen's Bruno targeted Milan, and was escorted out of a show by police.

He is filming his new movie "Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male."

Pull that stick out of your a s s. It was just a joke... it wasn't like he was throwing paint on them. The whole point of most of his stuff is show how "pointlessly annoying" so many "scenes" are. The most ridiculous people tend to be the most ironic in their natural habitat.

Nah. This guy exposes the scum......and makes them look like fools showing the values they really cling to, and how hypocritical they are. He's not exactly handing out a script to people, telling them what to say. He's showcasing honest reactions-how people really view themselves and how they view others. More importantly, he is also demonstrating WHY people believe what they do. How freaking lazy people are when it comes to seeking information before they form an opinion on something. For some, a soundbite is enough to hate others for, and they can cling to it their entire lives. Imagine the damage that does to a society.

Cohen may want to take it easy on this stuff. Luckily, those "middle class morons" he built a whole movie around were intimidated by the cameras. Because if he tried that stuff without a camera, someone would have put him down years ago. Still might happen, actually.

Actually, I don't get him a lot of times. I mean a lot of times he's just annoying and not funny. You know, there's funny and there's not funny, and a lot of times he's not funny.

just because it's outrageous (yes, i'm talking about the late andy kaufman and HIS alter-ego Bob Zmuda, too) doesn't mean it's funny. it's always about taking people unaware and then making fun of them that they are unaware of the joke YOU'RE pulling, as in, "see, you're not as bright as I am." that gets old after awhile, the performance artist (in this case Cohen) becomes more desperate to "prove" his point, and eventually the public grows weary of the entire process.

I agree. The art is pushing right to the edge but not crossing it. He make us all participants because we all get freaking or roiled or otherwise uncomfortable with how he makes us feel abouts ourselves.
