Some people may find the winking and the accent and the lack of knowledge, funny, but I am terrified; if W got elected, so can McC, and if W has invented a war in order to keep his job, so can the mavericks, only this time it could be a bigger one. I don't know about you, but I am scared to death.

Remember when Palin told "Chaaaaaar­leee" that her main qualificat­ion for veep was that she doesn't blink? It has to do with the way she's wired, I think she said.

I think it was a pretty simple change in the wiring, actually. You just disconnect the blink reflex in one eye, and voila! Instantly, any impulse to put the needs of the country above personal ambition can be eliminated­, and the world will see you as the great big lovable bundle of "Maverick I'd Like to Fornicatew­ith" you believe yourself to be. I never bought the media’s hype about Palin’s stardom. And I don’t believe Americans were ever as excited about Palin or her speech at the Convention in Mpls. as the media tried to make us believe. As Americans attended the Palin/McCa­in campaign rallies after the convention any that were excited about her could see at that time that she was only repeating her acceptance speech and that she was an empty shell. I also believe that the enthusiasm shown to date by the Republican­s is as sincere and empty as Palin herself.
