John Mccain

Politico:

In the aftermath of John McCain's decision to pull out of Michigan, Republicans in the state are expressing shock and bewilderment at his move--and aren't willing to cede the state's 17 electoral votes just yet.

"We're blindsided, along with everybody else in Michigan," said Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson. "I feel like I woke up this morning and there was a note on my pillow."

Has no one suggested the very real possiblity that the "pull-out" in Michigan, followed by Palin questioning same is all scripted, just like the debate and most of her public utterances? It makes perfect sense to me, the scheme for more publicity vis a vis JM being able to say, see how smart this woman is, she is thinking strategically and I was thinking expeditiously and together we are, eh, let's see, Grape Nuts. ( neither one nor the other.) it is amusing as well as a bit scary to think of those two in charge of much of anything let alone something as large and complex as the Presidency.

"the McCain campaign, inconsistencies, contradictions,” he said. “Calling off his campaign and everything, I’m not sure people responded to that the way the McCain campaign expected them."

I guess we didn't h3ll we are still laughing about it.

I am with McCain on this one. He's just keepin' it real like the total mavericky maverick that he is. Keepin' it straight talk express, ya know? He aint gonna win MI. I think he needs to haul as@ out of PA and VA, too....Go Big Mac! I got your back. You should really leave MN, too. You can't win it that either....I'm just sayin'.

They're shocked that McCain would "abandon" them??? They need to stop the hand-wringing...he's only going to spend time where he's sure he can win. He apparently doesn't care as much about them as they care about him. But then, most mavericks tend to make decisions based upon what they want, no matter how much confusion and chaos it causes for others. (Putting the first Presidential debate on hold, for example. He didn't even consider how much time and money had gone into the planning for that debate...5.5 million dollars and many hours of preparation time. He also lied to David Letterman. No concern for the problems it caused Letterman either.) Mavericks are know for this kind of egocentric behavior, always have been. I'd rather have asteady, cool-under-stress leaders, not two mavericks.

Do you really think that McCain cares about the repubs of Michigan? It's not about public service with McCain...it's about McCain and his agenda. He's a dinosaur (T-rex to be specific) and a jerk!

Is it possible that McCain's pull-out from MI is related to the law suit which Obama filed on alleged Republican voter-caging in that state?

'Nah, y'betcha we're not doin' that. We're not even in MI campaigning.'

I think the lawsuit is against the MI GOP not JMc's campaign. They are still here.

Thanks for the update. The wording of the suit, though, is covers tactics of alleged voter caging which have not been used in MI as well as those concerning 'no "home," no vote' which have. That is why I was thinking that it would be , if won, applied to other states like Florida and Colorado which would also make it a McCain campaign issue. I could be wrong on this though.

IT'S THE FOURTH QUARTER OF THE FOOTBALL GAME AND THE SCORE IS 21 TO 14 AND WHAT DOES JOHN MCCAIN DO? TELL HIS TEAM TO RUN TO THE LOCKER ROOM, BUT AS THEY RUN TALK SH-- ABOUT THE OTHER TEAM AND TELL LIES.

LET'S NOT TRY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF THE COUNTRY, LET'S TALK ABOUT AYERS, WRIGHT AND BITTER.

Great analogy, BIG JOHN.

One thing, though. McCain's team, as it runs off the field, is also saying they'll protest the game no matter what.
