Maher's most recent show was really good. He, and Shandling and Baldwin were at the top of their game; it just clicked.
Amanpour was a disappointment. She said something like, since I'm the only woman on this stage...and then began to defend Palin. All terribly disappointing from a woman who seems so bright and so well informed. As they called her on her stance, she began to backtrack, but she started out saying that Palin won the first half of the debate. She actually said that Palin won the first half of the debate because she looked into the camera and connected. Astoundingly poor judgment.
He's right about the winking...it's not folksy...it's the definition of manipulative, hence dishonest. I this respect, she is the perfect person to represent the morally, substantively bankrupt GOP.

Love Bill's comments! He's so on target about Palin's performances being long on rhetoric and short on substance, This talking parrot is wound up like a coo-coo clock and keeps on jabbering about everything but the issues. We don't need a used car salesman in the White House!
History Lesson:
McCain means Son of Cain who is Enoch, but don't confuse him with the good Enoch as there are two Enochs in the bible.
Enoch from Cain's Line- not much to say beyond what the scriptures record, but we do know that this Enoch continued Cain's rebellion against God. We read of nothing good coming from this line. He engaged in the same wickedness as the haters of God He must cringed when the other Enoch preached the message of God. Enoch, Cain's son, represents all those who rebel against God, this includes the hypocrite too.
Enoch from Seth's Line- is included on the role of honour in Hebrews 11, therefore his life of faith can instruct us how we should live for the Lord. He was a preacher and was loved by God.
What you stated above has nothing to do with HISTORY. You are telling a fairy tale that is meaningless - it means nothing. Please deal with reality - it's the only way we'll get out of the crap hole the neocons have dumped us into. Leave superstition out of this.

Maher would tell you to save the prayers, and I do too. What you obviously don't understand is that Maher isn't leading "us" anywhere. I will not let superstition make my decisions for me, or more accurately, take away my decisions from me. Maher is not a "leader" - that is what he is fighting against. He would be the first to say question him, question everything. As an atheist, I don't follow anyone anywhere - try it sometime. And, have you seen Religilous? If you haven't, you have no idea what direction Bill is even heading in, much less someone like me. I saw the movie yesterday. It is smart, very funny, and well-produced. Maher did his homework and it's obvious he knows the religious books better than the believers he interviews, in most cases.
