Maher also had mocking words for Rich Lowry, who thought Palin was 'man straightening.'

Lets hope the polls and the registration says like this or we are really in trouble. After this week, seeing Palin on TV and reading also about what she is doing in Alaska and McCain and how low he is going, I feel scared about the possibility of them winning.

How can you say at least Sarah Palin can complete a sentence -- the woman doesn't speak in complete sentences! We've gotten awfully generous about what it means to communicate, apparently. (Meanwhile, Rush is still railing against Obama for using too many "uhs" in his speeches. And no the guy isn't joking. His dittoheads echo the same bizarro complaint about one of the best U.S. speakers ever.)
Difference is Obama is thinking about what he wants to say and not some pre-programmed answer. Once he gets the hang of it he will do fine.

Palin must have been trying to "tap into" her inner Condi Rice on that "school trip" to NYC.
To hear many of the Repugs speak of Condi running at one time, I seriously questioned her too. You never see her. I think back when Albright was meeting foreign leaders and she was in the news all the time -- we knew what was going on as back then they did meet with them. Condi is like Cheney -- like they live under a rock. She would have been better than Palin, but I don't think by a whole lot.

The biggest gaffe in the debate was Palin.
The only difference I would have with Maher's monologue would have been to replace the "corny" reference with "Hee Haw" instead of the "Lawrence Welk Show".
Really, all Minnie Paylin' needs is a hat with the price tag still on, and a big "HowDEEEE".
