No Rest For The Wickedly Funny: Stewart and Colbert Will Broadcast Straight Through To The Election

Breaking news from the New Yorker Comedy Festival: Stephen Colbert said yesterday that his show, as well as "The Daily Show" will be putting their planned hiatus on hiatus and broadcasting straight through to the election. The two shows (and their respective staffs) were originally scheduled to break for vacation during the week of October 13 - 16 (this has been corroborated by NoFactZone.net, which also posts the links for requesting tickets. Go go go!).

Meanwhile, SNL just came off of four straight shows in a season that started two weeks early, and the cast and crew are finally taking a well-deserved break...just in time for the debut of the first special "Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday" (did Palin name that thing?) on October 9th. No rest for the etc. etc.
