I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Monday on the "The View" Elisabeth Hasselbeck tried to defend John McCain on the subject of the Keating 5 while attacking Barack Obama over his relationship with Bill Ayers.

"This is not about smears," Hasselbeck insisted, adding moments later, "He [Obama] wants to hide all of his radical connections."

Watch Sherri, Whoopi and Barbara verses Elisabeth on Monday's show. Joy Behar was out.

Oh, Elizabeth... you're the best comedian ever!

The View is reality tv's version of Desparate Houswives. Maybe Marcia Cross could sub for Elisabeth Hasselbeck while the latter chills out.

One of the many "joys" of retirement is that I get to watch not only the morning news programs (Today, Good Morning America, etc.), but if I can stomach Regis and Kelly, I get to watch the ladies on The View. I try not to watch it too often as it makes me cringe when the women start yapping at each other like a bunch of chihuahuas (I'm being kind, LOL!). Yesterday's show was "off-the-charts"...For once Sherry had a position and enough focus to actually take on the Hasseleck...It was impressive. Elisabeth is not doing the Republican party any favor...(I write this having been a Republican - mis-guided youth)...I know their "game"...it's not pretty. I think she, like Sarah Palin, has been made a fool of. They're both fine intelligent women with ambition who find themselves in the Fast Lane and have been given the Green Light to bash all things Liberal...It doesn't play. For Hasselbeck to question Obama's past acquaintences is inappropriate in that forum....she's like the Republican attack-ads...they just leave a negative thought..even a lie...and close with a smile from Senator McCain scored with twinkle music - fade to black.

If Hasselbeck thinks Palin is "open" then she doesn't know much about Palin. Someone should educate her on Troopergate, and all of the other unfavorable things barracuda is trying to sweep under the rug. Out of all of them, I'd say Whoopi made the most sense and Hasselbeck the least. To hear Palin talk about and smear Obama, as if her own short and tumultuous political history is squeaky clean and wonderful, almost makes me want to gag.

A 'required reading' article about the loose and infrequent meetings of the two (again!):

I am a strong democrat supporting Obama and I believe, strongly, that Elizabeth should have her say. Any attempt to muzzle her would be undemocratic and sexist. She is ignorant, yes, but we need to hear her! How else will we know how to educate her? LET HER SPEAK.

AMEN! While I may not agree with her "opinions", I do think she should be heard. Unfortunately, she represents the opinions that many are holding near and dear to their hearts in this election cycyle. I hope the people listening to her will actually take the time to listen to the other ladies of the View and research what they're hearing.

And "researching what they're hearing" should work both ways. I don't think that there is a media outlet of any kind that isn't showing their bias with this election. Research means more than reading posts, watching the news, and listening to the radio.......it's about time-consuming fact checking. Most people don't take the time to do that.

How will American's get passed this terrible time in history if we can not tolerate listening to each other? What will American's behave like after the election? We must use civility with each other. I want to see these wonderful women on the show long after the Obama administration.

EH must aspire to be FOX's Nancy Grace.
What's the difference between EH and NG and a pitbull?
EH and the pitbull don't have a law degree.
(I know it's not funny but it's all I could come up with on short notice)

And yeah, to point out the obvious -- I've never seen a pitbull wear --(wait for it...) lipstick!
(collective groan echoing accross the web)

She is so bizarre. She really should be put on Fox. I not only believe that a far-right winger should be on that show, but there should be two of them, so that it doesn't look like one person is being ganged up on. But... and this is a big but... there are many, many right wing, conservative, neo-con thinking women who can voice their opinions with sense and respect for other opinions. That is not Elizabeth H. She is not a thinker. She is a puppet.

She cannot even make her points without referring to printed notes in front of her. Where did she get those note? Emails from the McCain camp maybe?

These people are acting as if all other Americans, the majority of us, are their enemies. As if they are the righteous minority and they are being shouted down because us liberals and benighted ones just don't know the way to God. They are sick and insane and unAmerican.

Send Elizabeth to Fox. Send her home. Please.

Is Palin so insane that she thinks she is invisable to people who throws stones at idiots that live in glass houses. I hope she watched the debate tonight "maverick" wasn't mentioned once. Could that be because the family that the Maverick orginated from doesn't want McCain to use that name, because it is a slam to their family?
