Hannity Quotes Anti-Semite On Obama's "Radicalism"

Just in time for Yom Kippur comes a reminder of what a world-class ganef Sean "Shonde" Hannity is. On Sunday, Hannity ran a "special report" entitled "Barack Obama: History of Radicalism," in which he presented, as a credible resource, at least one gentleman with a radical history of his own. We speak of Andy Martin: peripatetic electoral also-ran, self-styled "consumer advocate" from a parallel universe in which evil consumer advocates thrive, and one of the few people to earn the label "vexatious litigant" from the Wikipedia. (Side note: "Vexatious Litigants Of The Wikipedia" is my new favorite punk rock band name.)

Martin is well-known for bragging about being a pioneer in the field of spitting out cuckoo-nutlog attacks on Barack Obama, but the far more interesting thing about Martin is that he's a dedicated anti-Semite. Ari from Oxdown Gazette has the details:

The same Andy Martin who,

"...ran as a Democrat for Connecticut's 3rd Congressional District seat under the name "Anthony R. Martin-Trigona," his campaign committee filed papers saying its purpose was to "exterminate Jew power in America and impeach U.S. District Court of Appeals judges in New York City."

And that wasn't his only anti-Semitic outburst:

In a New York bankruptcy case, he referred to a judge as a "crooked, slimy Jew." During the bankruptcy dispute, he filed a civil-rights lawsuit claiming Jewish bankruptcy judges and lawyers were conspiring to steal his property. He asked a court to bar "any Jew from having anything to do with plaintiff's property."

In another motion in the case, he wrote: "I am able to understand how the Holocaust took place, and with every passing day feel less and less sorry that it did, when Jew survivors are operating as a wolf pack to steal my property."

How exactly, does this sort of cracked-out wackface make it into a report on someone else's alleged radicalism? Well, we remind you, Hannity has something of a history of pallin' around with anti-Semites.

As an American, it embarrasses me that these folks have an audience greater than one. Who are these malcontents?

Good old John Stuart Mill nailed it when he said:

"Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid people... it is true that most stupid people are conservati­ve."

Maybe that is part of the Liberal dilemma, i.e. liberals do not fear having to deal with nuance and quantify and qualify details. Liberals see the gray and realize that nuance matters. Conservatives prefer to see the world as black and white, good and evil, us and them. It's easy emotionally but it is not conducive to good decision making.

Many people have been asking themselves why is Fox News getting big ratings? Well i tell you why. Not true IMHO.

The likes of Hannity, et al, enjoy good ratings because they have a hungry audience of malcontents (drawn from every sector of society) who need an outlet for their anger and rage. They want someone to blame for their troubles and Hannity obliges them with hand-picked demons, who not so coincidentally are always immoral "liberals".

Ironically, to his credit, I think Hannity is the only Faux bloviator who's actually doing this out of a deep-seated personal fear of the "liberal agenda". Who truly believes that America enjoyed a Golden Age until the sufrfagettes and the civil rights movement ruined everything. I think he truly sees himself as the caped avenger protecting America from any more "morally bankrupt" changes in the future.

Hannity is a dinosaur on the brink of distinction.

I encourage everyone to write Jewish organizations in this country and let them know that this is the kind of guest that Sean Hannity supports. Please do this and also file a complaint with Fox News (not that that will matter). I am going to write the anti defamation league now about this and I encourage all of you to do the same.
